You only need to have his mod enabled if you wish to use his extra units/buildings. Without it, this mod will work as usual.
The one you linked seems very customized.
My variant you get tree/dark fortresses at the provincial capitals and the lesser settlements remain as outposts/altars. Each of these keep their vanilla building chains with vanilla values, except for the Elf tree global economy buff, that one I nerfed to the ground to hopefully keep it from running rampant.
Then of course I made tier variants for those using tier 4 or tier 5 settlements, same for those who only wish for the outposts/altars to appear and lastly for those who wished to maintain my custom resources from my other mods.
Also the Warrior of chaos outpost expansion mod from the same dev.
I'm a bit confused at what all the mods are doing.
You asked for something like this, I did not think of this, I just threw a few days at the idea hehe.
When I am done updating the rest of my mods, I will try and see if I can get special ports working for wef/woc in this mod too.
