why does nick look so bug-eyed in the side profile

The lobby icons are well done, but I have some critiques for the hud icons/portraits
-Too zoomed out, the L4D1 portraits are from the neck up, but these are from the shoulders up
-They lack eyes, the L4D1 survivors still have visible eyes in their portraits whereas these have black shadows over the eyes.
-They look kinda crunchy in-game, I think it might be because they're 4x the size of the vanilla icons?

THIS IS THE THING IVE BEEN TRYING TO LOOK FOR MY ENTIRE LIFE I LOVE YOU SO MUCH

But to explain it quickly what I did is bump up the contrast by 30, removed saturation, and then painted over it with a large blocky brush for the portraits.

@Obsidian Plague no guide, just art style studies, if you want I could try and make a guide on it but I’m not sure how good I am at explaining it

i'd like to do smth like this for an icon, did you follow any guides for this?

I think the portraits need to be zoomed in a little, and the shading on their faces seems a little too dark compared to the l4d1 crew

@Big boss yeah, looking back they are a little zoomed out and I tried to edits Dead Center’s colors to make it match blood harvest’s lighting for the lobby icons , that’s likely why the lighting might look a little intense

These are really cool! But personally i'd slightly zoom the ingame portraits closer to the face, like the L4D1 survivors. Also the lobby icons seem to have a bit too muc color contrast? But other than that, great job!
