The features here are in the main mod, which is the b42 version. They will not be added to the b41 version, and this one will likely remain for those that want these features in b41

Finally, without these stupid weight restrictions, Tetris is playable. I hope soon the modders will make it compatible with other mods and balance the space, such that, for example, the unloading will not be like a backpack, but will have 4 slots 2x2 or 2x4

No, its the same thing as below.
Spiffy UI checks for INVENTORY_TETRIS to make itself compatible, but this test copy is INVENTORY_TETRIS_DEV

Full release will probably work fine.

The issue is like DETOX said, the mod id is different for this test upload (INVENTORY_TETRIS_DEV)
The real release of Beta 6 will have the regular mod id (INVENTORY_TETRIS)

I think they made you require old beta 5 instaed of 6 they have to rekease a sub modid for beta 6. 6 and 5 dont share aame ids.

I am trying to run this version instead of Beta 5 , however i cannot turn ON any of other sub mods that are tied to Beta 5 (like Inventory Tetris - All the mods and other compatibility mods) - are they somehow implemented by default in Beta 6? or any way to turn them on on Beta 6 if not?

I tried the Beta, and the orientation of the items are better indeed! :)
I would still like to have a toggle option to toggle the icon turning feature off, however its much less a problem than it was before, so if this is too bothersome to develop, you don't have to!

One more thing (but it might be my mod load order), backpacks on Zeds don't have tool-tips. It would be great to be able to view the Weight Reduction of backpacks both when they're worn by zeds with the vanilla tool-tip, and as large icons when viewed inside of the players background while they're being worn.

could you possibly add a debug dev tool for copy pasting grids for changing containers grids to whatever you paste. Would help with users adding support for modded containers quickly

Yes, I do plan on allowing stacking of many items I did not previously.
Need to lay some groundwork before I can, but we're almost there.

(Need to add a way to open a stack like you "open" equipment slots and choose a specific item inside, probably gonna be middle mouse)

Datapacks/add-ons for Beta 5 will still work. There is a few new features that they will need to be updated to make full use of however.

Beta 6 should be even more compatible with other mods than Beta 5.
Improving compatibility is one of my top priorities for Beta 6.

Hey gang! So I started a new game last night for the first time since April and then I remembered that there was the new beta version for one of my favorite mods. Would those that have been testing it recommend switching over from 5 to 6? Right now the biggest hurdle for me to make the switch is that I have a lot of the add-on mods that others have made to change container sizes or make more things stackable. Does 6 also play nice with many of the mods out there like 5 seems to?

It would seem reasonable to only allow empty bags (over a certain size) inside other bags. (with exceptions for ammo cans, first aid kits, etc)

I'm sorry. I'm stressing myself out over nothing and projecting. You're just trying to help, I know that.

I've updated the balance of the vanilla containers so things should make more sense now. I also flipped around of the defaults so things are less annoying for auto-balanced items.

Lastly, I added a sandbox option to disable the tardis restrictions.

Although I'm not balancing around other mods like Brita's, you do make a good point about containers that are category restricted.
I've made it so containers that do not accept containers are not considered to be TARDISes.

i dont understand the tardis system you have to make the size match the slots inside the backpack or you cant put another pack inside the original pack but i feel like theres a better way to do this

like plastic bags and garbage bags can go in the bag slots but any other backpack or ammo canister cant

you cant loot any bag and put it in one bag is there no way to better patch the infinite bags? maybe change it to detect a bag that has items in it to not allow it to be in the bag

ammo canisters from britas mod are detected as tardis although they can only hold ammo is there anyway for you to allow them to be in backpacks?

Turbotowns - You can combine partial threads, but they need to be in your primary inventory to do so. (This is also true for vanilla inventory, but Inventory Tetris makes it easier to overlook)

The mod "Inventory Tetris - Customize Inventory" allows the stack size to be edited per item, which can be used to allow thread to be stacked.
(The server I play on has a custom configuration patch that redefines some sizes and stacks, which lets thread be stacked.)

Trying out Unstable Beta 6 to see the new controller support.
Rgiht now, when using Controller + Mouse, there are no mouse tooltips at all. Hopefully this is an issue that you already know about and will be fixed before release.

Yep, I now detect if you're trying to put a TARDIS inside a TARDIS and prevent it.
(TARDIS = any bag that is bigger on the inside)

I think that things should not occupy slots in the inventory, otherwise it looks like I'm wearing pants and the same pants are in my pocket

I'd love to let you drop them honestly, but that a big undertaking that I consider out of scope.
I may explore a way to "drop" them that is instantly building the the item nearby.

I assume that is a Moveable Object?

Moveable Objects have special handling in both vanilla and Inventory Tetris.
99% of these do not have support for being dropped on the floor as an item. The only way to remove these from your inventory is to "build" them using the same menu you originally picked the object up with.

Flood lamps can't be placed anywhere except bags (duffel bag etc.), that is fair for actual released version too. There are only 3 options -- grap, equip primary and equip secondary. When equipped, can't be unequipped (unequip option is being ignored). The only exception is when draggin into the bag.

Hey, it is surely works very nice with a controller, the only thing I spotted is the key ring can't be opened via controller, or i am doing something wrong (it's possible) :<

oh and the "Thread" takes a whole one slot and doesn't stack, is that supposed to be so?
