I found a bug. I don't know when it happened but I noticed it recently. Dwarf axe infantries creates an area of effect when they hit, like a lord or hero. I tried many units but only dwarfs and chaos dwarfs have this weird bug. I hope the tool gets fixed soon, because you're doing great work, we need you

The latest patch broke the Asset Editor, until that tool is fixed there is not much I can do unfortunately.

Maybe you could incorporate some fixes from Warhammer 1 Update Project Model Fixes like the VFX restoration for Archaon, Kholek, and Sartorael?

Hey again thank you for responding and making the mod! I've had a look and the Exalted Plaguebearers are no longer teal but they look much paler than regular Plaguebearers like their brightness has been turned up?

If that was intentional or you're not too bothered about it no worries just thought I'd mention it. There are screenshots of how they used to look before they became bugged in vanilla if you want a comparison.

if i find a mod that has a conflict with .dds files, should i be putting your mod above theirs or are the .dds files specific for that unit?

@sirkudjon Thank you for pointing out the bug for Kharybdis, released a hotfix update to remove the files I made to fix the model in a previous update. Seems CA fixed it with the recent update.

I don't know about the Fort Towers as that is something I have not touched upon. This mod primarily deals with units.

Hey so a question. Did you change something to Fort Towers for HE settlements because they are all rendered along with their wall sections low poly since 6.1 and Kharybdis model is a pixelated mess. Also low poly.

Hey there, since the Skulltaker update Exalted Plaguebearers have been teal colour I've reported it as a bug but no fix yet. Any chance this mod could fix it?

@Dizzy Ioeuy Yeah, I am going through the changes but it will take some time before I can release andupdate. Because I recently got a new computer, but I lost some of my notes in the process and there are various other things going on in my life.

And I will probably update most of my other mods before dealing with this one, because they do not require as much thinkering. But I will eventually release an update for this mod, I just don't know exactly when just yet.

I've just noticed that Scourgerunner Chariots don't apply faction colours on their giga crossbows. Can you look into it? Not sure if it's a bug, but would look more natural with faction color imo

@Vékell the Shape-Shifting I don't know, but I doubt it. This works pretty much the same as any reskin mod since it edits the unit files in similar ways. Best to just test and see if it works or not as I am not familier with how that mod works.

@Big Bear Bardiche If you mean that their skin color gets faction colors, then no, this mod does not alter that, but I do think I had something like that in the mod some years ago. I have tinkered with it in the past at least and either it was because some of the coloring matchups looked really odd or that I don't really think it is as CA intended it to be so it did not really feel like a bug fix.

What this mod does do is make sure the markings on Saurus units have the correct faction colours.

It was claimed that the deleted version of this mod added back faction colored saurus, making them affected by tertiary uniform color from factions_tables (like skinks). I can not see this being included now. Was it true you fixed it with the old mod? If so, what do i edit to fix it now?

@Swallowed_Light I am sure CA "fixed" this unit in an earlier patch, but the previous bug seems to have come back. Unfortuntatly, it is an issue with the shader that gave the unit the glossy watery flow effect in WH2, but this shader does not seem to work in WH3 so it bugs out.

I found a fix that can at least make it have normal textures without the watery effect. Will have it included in the next update.

This isn't an issue with the mod, I haven't installed it yet, its about an issue with the base game. The Kharibdyss unit has a visual bug that I can't stand, the Kharibdyss being my favorite unit. The model is either pitch black, or blindingly white: this only happens when I zoom in on the model, however. I am unsure, yet, if this mod fixed that model error. To be completely honest, the error could be my computer. The dang thing is a lemon.

regarding the issue i've mentioned earlier... any clues as to what might be the conflict causing the two mods to have this incompatibility? No other model has that issue when both mods are used

in isolated testing, it seems like this mod has problems with warhammer 1 texture project, and i'm not exactly sure why... might need to ask Dead Baron for help with dixing this odd incompatibility if anything. Never seen either of the mods have issues with each other before in regards to any other model btw

this mod apparently causes bretonnian paladin/generic lord horse mounts to vanish entirely after a single lod change? this carries over to every horse mount of every bretonnian lord on the campaign map, could this problem be looked into?

I noticed that Beastmen seem to have lost their faction skin color. (Again?)
I've only noticed Cygors with matching skin, red for Taurox for example.

I feel like I've posted about this before but didn't see anything in the changelog or comments, so sorry if this has been discussed!

I noticed that Vampire Coast units have some very odd lighting issues, being especially noticable when you play night battles and it mostly seems to affect their torn clothing parts.

any way to fix every bretonnian lord/hero horse mount, especially on campaign map & on the paladin hero? Instead of having the level of detail lowered on them, the horses just... vanish, making the mounted characters pretty much roleplay crazy frog.

So I tested the mod and it crashes as soon as I try to enter the game. But I think I have figured out what is causing it. Since Giguaz has imported some of my "fixes" for the bretonnian lords, he has not changed the db names. This I think causes a conflict as it does not overwrite my DB tables.

I will let him know in the comments on the mod itself.

And there is one extra note I want to add. When WH3 finally ends its update cycle and all the DLC packs are finished and the only additions to the game will be mods. That is the time where I will have time to work on compatability patches and all that stuff.

I understand that many of you want to use various mods and wish for better compatability among these mods. But this is mainly a bugfix mod focused on fixing vanilla game bugs and I want to keep it as close to the vision that CA has chosen for the game.

That vision have not always been succesful and I have taken a few liberties from time to time, but I just do not have the time to make lots of compatability patches for mods I don't personally use. Keeping up with my own updates is hard enough, and I can't imagine the extra workload of keeping this mod updated for other mods as well.

I will look into the mod in question, perhaps it is possible to make it compatible but also not really change the way this mod works on its own, if that is the case then I will try to update it. But I have also stated that anyone is free to make comnpatability patches or use my fixes and assets for their own mods.

So if you have the time, could you please look into this and find out which is your bretonnia files are clashing with his? so they can be removed or something? because I really want to use this mod, but at the same time I really want to use his mod as well.

Hey @Merwanor Giguaz just released his Bretonnia uniform mod, but its not compatable with this mod here and having them both enabled is causing the game to crash at startup. My guess is that his bretonnia models are mixing up with yours,

Btw he managed to fix the lances of the knights. I hope you two can work together to make these two mods work, because This mod is a must have, but so is Giguaz uniform mods.

Ah that makes sense as I discontinued that version after patch 6.0 and did not update it anymore. I recently hid it from the public, but I just deleted it off the workshop now so it should be removed from everyone who was still subcribed to it.

I found the issue on my end and I suspect what @Cyan had as well

I still had both versions of this mod enabled (old discontinued one and this updated one). They are incompatible with each other. I should have paid closer attention to how the mod list was bisecting when it came to troubleshooting

@SubRyan @Cyan My game works fine, perhaps you should verify the game files, or unsub and resub to this mod? maybe one of those will fix the issue?
