@Sudden Betrayal I do agree that the lack of Chicago restrictions may have been a bit too difficult, though I can’t exactly give the players that mercy in RBR when it’s integrated. I’ll definitely be giving free cores and give Alison some much needed buffs against Chicago

Like Logically shouldn't winning the race for The City of Racers event give you cores on the Speedfreaks considering the event says they decide rightful leadership by fastest racer and their leader joins your Military High command if you beat him? It makes no sense to me that wouldn't provide some level of legitimacy. I could see that being overpowered though and maybe this is just me being bad at the game, equally possible.

@verticalvery I am glad the bugs are fixed but how is this remotely winnable now with the restrictions completely removed from Chicago? as far as I can tell the AI goes for the expansion focuses as soon as possible and since this doesn't give cores for free or factories in Wayne I don't see how it is remotely possible to build up in time, I mean there isn't even a spirit for the Chicago war or anything. I do agree that in the last build the Chicago restriction was too much and you were just sitting around waiting but now it's too far in the other direction. Especially the Michigan route seems impossible but to be fair the Indiana route is clearly the better choice regardless. I just don't see what the intention here is with just the 13 divisions you can get from focuses plus your starting ones, there is just no way to get enough industry to build up and even the free guns from focuses are eaten up by garrisons because again no cores.

Kinda forgot I was working on this mod, but I will be adding all the changes. I’ll either update this submod around March or April. Depends on how I feel.

Just confirmed that was it and found a workaround if anyone else has the issue, just create a new division with the same name as whatever template you deleted or renamed and it will generate two full units of whatever you use, honestly pretty exploitable for free equipment.

I was having a lot of fun with this mod until I hit a similar crash to @Pogman. Mine was on the tribal event while the other two were fine. Based on how the Brotherhood one used the preexisting templates my best guess is the crash was caused because I deleted my militia one and edited the other two. I am assuming Pogman renamed or deleted his knight and paladin division templates to cause his. Usually those types of events use new templates to avoid this kind of thing.

Otherwise really fun mod, kind of wish it handed out at least a few cores somewhere for free but after you manually core some its not too bad. For example, I feel like winning the race should legitimize your rule over Indianapolis at least.

Enabling this mod makes the Chicago Enclave's name disappear on the map.

Cheers

@Pogman I’ll check out the issue later today

And uh my game crashes when exiled paladins come to help me
Pogman 26 Jan @ 1:13am
In the steel victory event is he supposed to say overestimated? Because "underestimated" makes a little more sense here

Mod will be updated soon.
Athen96 13 Jan @ 6:51pm
Another thing, some focuses either need more bonuses or be adopted quicker. I shouldn't have to wait 30 days to get 25 air xp while not even having the ability to make air units...

Some tweaking definitely needs to happen. For instance during the "Rapid War" focus line, you are required to take the city of Mackinaw in order to complete it. Yet that city is owned by the Enclave since game start. Which by the time you are even close to beating the Enclave, that focus is pretty much useless.

Good mod, I enjoy it, I will not play this mod again until next year as the war with the Enclave was a horrific slog, 2 years until I decided to gamble it by deleting all troops except power armor to pump them full with manpower and charge in. Somehow it worked. I had fun, I will try and forget my experience of pain.
8/10

@nightshadee I think I by mistake pushed it to 2280, I will be fixing that issue in the next patch.
nightshadee 29 Nov, 2024 @ 5:31pm
@verticalvery in my game they can declare in 2280, which is frankly insane since you dont have much to do for like... 3 years if you play even remotely well
verticalvery  [author] 24 Aug, 2024 @ 4:02pm
I sent in a patch that makes Chicago only be able to declare war after July 2277. By then, you should be ready to fight them.
RememberReach6 24 Aug, 2024 @ 3:04pm
So uh,this BoS kinda got...eaten by the Chicago Enclave, you might want to buff them a bit
Ass Blaster Master 24 Aug, 2024 @ 3:03am
say is there a reason why you didnt use bos people for the generic general portraits
Hyperspearman.Swf - TheRyuSword 13 Aug, 2024 @ 6:08am
This is pretty good, but I feel it would be better if we could get a Victory Lap through the half of the focus tree that we don't get to go through because it is locked by mutual exclusivity.
verticalvery  [author] 8 Aug, 2024 @ 7:01pm
I have added it
