As someone playtesting this, Long War Of The Chosen is (seemingly) working fine! It's just not adapted to its new items so you can manually research Lasers every run but start with Magnetic through AP items being received. LW though is designed so laser is still more attractive until you sort out your economy and this mod is not scaled up to let you skip such concerns, so while the free sample is great for making heroes in your barracks, you still have the same challenges to overcome as if you rushed that tech instead of a balanced approach.

If support for LW gets added, this could be a pretty interesting way to "co-op" LWOTC 🤔

"This mod doesn't do anything wildly differently in how it interacts with the game compared to every other gameplay mod. It should not in its current state be uniquely incompatible with other mods except obviously those that change how base game research works."

Completely breaks AML O+E because of it's customised research tree, which means this is most likely incompatible with most other baseline packs, such as Long War, Stukov's War, A Harder War and OddBoi.

Should probably not that this mod is only for Vanilla installations and doesn't work with any other mods that change the Research Trees and Shadow Project's, and also note that this has a decent chance to brick your campaign even then, because changing even basic Research's without any proper accomodation for how they work, more often that not leads to broken, deadlocked and uncompletable campaigns.

This mod doesn't do anything wildly differently in how it interacts with the game compared to every other gameplay mod. It should not in its current state be uniquely incompatible with other mods except obviously those that change how base game research works.

I added something to the description to clarify that this is specifically for use of XCOM 2 in Archipelago Multiworlds and not as a standalone mod for a regular campaign.

This mod requires clarification for how it interacts with other mods, and established mod lists and overhauls, due to inherently different localised setups between users.

Just wanted to clarify that this does not see your files, what is actually being communicated through the server is everyone's progress in their respective games—the bosses they've beaten, the chests they've opened, etc.—and the items others unlocked for it, like weapon upgrades or story progression. Also, the server can be hosted locally on a player's machine as an alternative to hosting it online on archipelago.gg.

I saw this and then looked to the comments and felt my soul die. I'll put it here for people to read and understand and if you still somehow missed the discussion above. Archipelago is a multiworld randomizer which runs off of a third-party server. It will see your files, and other files and shoot them across each other. You pick multiple games (usually two or more) with friends or others to work together to beat the game.

Thanks, but totally not for those running dedicated packlists of their own. Good luck with the project though.

To anyone wondering about Archipelago Multiworlds, ProfBadger wrote a very helpful description/explanation in the discussions. Otherwise, archipelago.gg for more info on how to play.

had a look through links, so is this a randomizer or some sort of host thing to somehow play it coop, i dont know if my brain is not braining but none of it makes any sense.

According to Github:
Archipelago provides a generic framework for developing multiworld capability for game randomizers. In all cases, presently, Archipelago is also the randomizer itself.

Make of that what you will, I have no idea.
