I understand your complaint, but if there is no mod that introduces garage doors without using VVE as a dependency, the only solution left for you is to download VVE and remove everything that has nothing to do with the garage doors.
And we won't do that for you because VVE is under this license:

Just make sure you move that mod to the local mods folder instead of Steam ones, because if it gets an update, you will need to remove everything again.

And so, people like me with weaker computers suffer since if the only thing you want from VVE is the garage doors, everything else is just bloat making the game run worse(cherry picker does not fix this at all, just makes it not show up), then again in my case I'm lucky if I can make a load order work even with just a single smaller vehicle mod since my main computer died.

@Solar, Garage Doors are considered part of the hull,like a any other wall, not sure bout docking clamp
Think of it like a wall that "dissapears" when u open the garage door, and "reappears" when u close the garage door

You can add your own version if you want.
I made an example for you, adding the 3x1 normal and automatic:

But you would need to add a texture for it.

You just need to open the mods directory. If you're using Rimsort, it's super easy, just right-click the mod and click Open Folder.
Then, in the mod folder, open the Defs folder, followed by the ThingDefs_Buildings folder.
Create a text file and change the extension to .xml.
Then, simply paste the text from the link above.

I wish the doors would actually automatically open when a vehicle wants to go through. Like how automatic doors are supposed to work. Having me click a button doesn't make it automatic at all.
(The great dilemma of "player interaction" vs "pawn interaction" .. i'd call this semi-automatic. The door opens by itself, but only on MY order. Not entirely automatic then..)

@RyloStKya You can also use the automatic garage door for a heat/freeze killbox to instantly dissipate the temperature in the room after killing everyone to reclaim the loot

@RyloStKya Yeah thats how it works, u click a button and it opens, in contrast with the normal garage door where u click to open and a pawn needs to go to open it manually

Thanks, compatibility has been added. You can use either one or both together if you're using other features from Rimmsqol (the Material Sub-Menu takes priority).

Hello again, just a heads-up that Material Sub-Menu and its dependency Float Sub-Menus can also be used to group the doors and is far lighter than RIMMSqol.

RIMMSQol also has some nice QoL features, such as in the floors dropdown, where instead of showing the material as a preview, it shows the tile made from the material without needing to select the material

The patch for the dropdown does use the vanilla <designatorDropdown>, but only when RIMMSQol is present. This is because (see the last image on the RIMMSQol mod page) it has a feature that allows switching between both dropdowns (materials or buildings) by clicking again, whereas vanilla can only show one or the other.

So, weird issue. With this installed all garage doors are destroying any floors under them when they open. No errors are popping
