I ended up not using your script and just made my custom flashlight mods texture-only for online compatibility.
But I would still love for ppl to use them with your script.
Would you be interested in releasing a script-only version of this, so I can recommend it to ppl with my flashlights? If not, may I release it instead while fully crediting you?

something i would like to see are lighter tweaks to some of the weapons to make them on par with their counter parts, increase the damage and penetration of the pump and auto shotguns, make the uzi do lsightly more damage and slightly more accurate, the for the scout and awp, simply remove them :D. jokes aside, i would like this since the current "better weapon" dramttically shift the balance of the game and i would prefer smaller tweaks. but i think the current buffs to grenade launcher and m60 are awesome and make me actually want to pick them up

Do you happen to have a custom flashlight addon installed? If so, you need to disable it since Better Flashlight has its own custom texture.

Unless there's a conflicting add-on that's preventing the Better Flashlight mod from working in a Local Server, I even had it enabled at one point when we played together when one of them hosted, and I still had a Vanilla Flashlight. Not guaranteeing that an add-on I have downloaded is conflicting with the Better Flashlight mod, but I'll try updating on the issue.

If that's the case, then both host and other users need to have it installed.

We tried running it with only one of us having the mod enabled and the rest having it disabled, but from my end I didn't notice a difference with having the mod disabled while the host had it enabled.

@Bubblysugar maybe it has to do with your graphic settings, based on the info I've gathered from the comments the most common denominator with all the complaints brought up is that all of them are on low spec settings.

The host is the one that must have the addon installed if you want others to have the Better Flashlight, otherwise you will only see the Vanilla Flashlight if you are a non-host even if you have it installed.

So basically the host must be the only one to have the addon enabled for the clients to use, if that's what I'm guessing?

Only the host requires it so that everyone can have it.

Let's say hypothetically that myself and my 2 partners have this addon installed when playing on a Local Server, I only have the Vanilla flashlight. Is only the host required to have the addon for everybody to have the better flashlight, or does the host and client(s) need to have the mod installed? Just curious

The scripts are what make the Better Flashlight addon possible.

Without them, there's no way to make the flashlight bigger and brighter.
