Report a translation problem
The mod you are talking about must be the Realistic Battle Mod (RBM). You can either completely deactivate it or just change it's options in the main menu of the game. This should be done by going directly to RBM settings from the main menu or from the mod configuration menu (I do not remember exactly and can not check at the moment). The mod is made to be configured in modules, so if you do not find the proper setting just deactivate all the options related to player self-combat. I believe - and hope- this will work. (Btw, i'm pleased to see that this list made it to the cold, icy stretches of Iceland).
