I'm looking forward to gm_hinamizawa v2
From what it looks like the town has many beautiful gardens too and I would like to add them. I will probably have to make them models for the plants myself.
I appreciate all the positive feedback and criticism of the map.
Most displacement errors within the player bounds have been fixed, the Sonozaki estate has been added and there is more detail to the town. See the change log for more info.
I plan on making yet another update for the map and after that leave it as it is. In the future, I would like to make gm_hinamizawa_v2 with a lot more content, revamped map and significantly more detail. I won't make any promises since I have a lot of other mapping projects which take priority and most importantly real life.
If you are reading this, thank you and take care!
I am working on an update at this very moment. Many of the bad displacements have been fixed, the player clip has been made less strict in certain places and nodes have been added. I am currently working on adding the dam construction site and the Sonozaki estate + a more detailed town center. I hope to make certain town center buildings explorable too.
More impactful for map navigation - the teleport to maebara is epic and catches vehicles/noclippers but its right next to a turn on the road and can be easy to get stuck on, and its existence is not obvious, i found it by accident
<3 <3 <3 Map so cool!!!!!!! <3 <3 <3 sorry for two message, i liked map and had many ideas. do not take as pressure please
And yeah that random hole is a product of my forgetfulness.
Thank you once again.

Please tell me where the gaps in displacements are. I don't usually see that in the map editor. Not much I can do about the vertex manipulation used to make the roads if that's what you're talking about.
And yes most houses were copy pasted. My intention on improving the detail specially touches that. I didn't want to push the limits of the compiler too much with the first version of the map.
@Halsi
Not much I can do to optimize an outdoor map. The map ran smoothly for me, so if you're experiencing frame drops, I'm sorry. I wish there was more I could do.
-a house floating in the upper hill part of the town
-random gaps in displacements,
-most houses are bland looking,
-the roads/paths are off looking,
-lack of detail, (already addressed)
-No sun in the sky despite being daytime, (optional)
-a lot of things seem to be very square-shaped, (but i could be wrong)
-the player clip walls between the road that leads towards Rena's residence seems to be very strict & tight
these issues are completely up to you on how you wanna approach them, but these are just some stuff i found out by playing.
