@Nuclear Nadan Yeap. I too don't like some of those mechanics, this Egg Quality is based on the Mother wild level, the closer to max level it is, the better. But find a high level creature in The Island is super annoying, and find a high level one from a super rare one is even worse. To tell the truth, I never tamed them in The Island, I just go to Lost Island where high level creatures spawns easier, trap a high level Rhynio in there and impregnate 3-5 creatures directly, as a wild Rhynio can impregnate again every 2 minutes.

@Izanagi Since my comment I did more digging. And infact the mod works for me as it should. I did not take to account the "Egg Quality" which reduces the baby's final points if the mother is not max level. I assume if I get a female that's at least wild max level. It will finally do the trick.
Once again, thanks for the mod. It's brilliant :)

@Nuclear Nadan The OffspringInheritStatsMode ini must be set as 0 to inherit stats from both parents, this way it can inherit the stats from the host or the mother. 1 will inherit from only the the mother, and 2 will inherit stays only from the host. Also, if you set OffspringInheritStatsMode to 0, and set OffspringInheritHigherStatsOnly to 1.0, then the Offspring will always inherit the higher stats between mother and host. The OffspringInheritHigherStatsOnly only change the chance to inherit the higher stats, with 0.00 set to 0% and 1.00 set to 100%. There is not any way to get the avarege stats between them using my inis.

Hi. I'm using the mod. Love it. The simple cravings and the female offspring is amazing. But I don't seem to be able to set what stats they inherit. If the mother had HP 22 points and the host had HP 53 (no mutation) the baby would get something in between, like 37. But same parents next time will result in 33 points or 44. Completely random, no matter what settings I try.

@The Nameless Nop. Its usefulness is another stuff, like the slowdown and stonification effects. Not to mention its fixed damage is quite good, 300 fixed damage is quite an amount. If you want super overpowered almighty creatures, then use mods like Primal Chaos, or just use Wyverns, they are Ark's flying fighters, Rhynio is the jack of all trades.

So when my Rhynio's ranged attacks become largely irrelevant because they're at a fixed damage level and only its meelee attacks are useful, that's NOT broken?
Izanagi  [author] 22 Apr @ 9:33am
@The Nameless Don't want. Instead of wasting time with those stuff, I choose to create new stuff or fix whatever is broken.
The Nameless 22 Apr @ 8:49am
Ouch. Any particular reason, or you just don't want to?
Izanagi  [author] 21 Apr @ 11:40pm
@The Nameless Won't happen.

This is already pretty awesome, just for letting me experience the pre-nerf speed, but you know what would be even better?

If there was an option that had the resin attack damage scale with meelee damage!

@LostLink Thanks.
@zriley20102020 This.

@zriley20102020 if you are having issues accessing Ark's ini files, I found a good tutorial on Youtube for ASE specifically. All you have to do is copy the settings in the description and paste them into the GameUserSettings.ini file. After that you can adjust the settings you just pasted according to the description on this page. Hope this helps. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2HxUr4kV2s

How do you access the Ini files Because mine just comes up as a jumbled mess

hi there, i am prepearing a singleplayer run and saw this creature had been added a while ago and then it got nerved due to pvp conserns. I found https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2998620779 this speed mod and now was wondering of yours would be compatible, if i need to consider load order or if your mod also addresses or might be addressing speed in the future?

@Big Chap Sorry, but I won't change it.
Drak The Man 10 Oct, 2024 @ 12:38pm
Is there any chance you could make it so their projectile attacks are based on the melee stat? Anyways, seems like a cool mod! I'll be testing it out and keeping an eye on it, cheers!
