Small ship 3x3x3 conveyors are still heavier than large ship conveyors

Any point to this mod these days? Some time ago, Keen removed glass, halved the construction component cost and changed from steel plate to interior plate, so that now the only significant change your mod makes in conveyor tubes is the motor cost reduction from 6 to 2.

could you make a "T" convater tube, and a "+" as well.
