might as well put an ACE dependency. that might be the only way this works at all lol. without the "pressure plate" from ace, this would do fuck all except get you killed.

@devildogg237 this works fine enough for my unit as a replacement (or addition) to the ACE metal detector. Give the other mod linked in the description a try, I think that might suit you better :)

that is beyond "needing to be careful" its "I need to have xray vison and forethought to even make use of this thing." its range is too low for basically all situations beyond the smallest of explosives, maybe, if you know its there already and crouched in time.

@devildogg237 well yeah, you'll have to walk slowly and carefully to detect them, just as you would in real life if you were lugging around a mine detector in a minefield.

tfw this literally makes EOD impossible because mines will detonate from beyond its range if you are standing, and at its max range if crouching. Honestly worthless as a mod because of that.

@HBAOplus it shouldn't as far as I know, since this only changes the interface for the player, would be pretty interesting if it did though :)

not trying to shit on your work but most mines and ied's will detonate within that 4m radius to begin with or earlier. And with how small mines are with grass and everything else that seems just kind of lets make things already hard enough even harder

@Ayso feel free to do whatever you want with this mod :)
@Digby this mod simply disables the mine detector interface and reduces its range, so you only start hearing the beeps when you are 4 meters away from the mine. I don’t see how I can take a screenshot of that :')
