Are there any plans to make the new Marksman Scope fit on your rail mounts? I've found a few but was never able to get them on a Mosin or similar, even with a mount.

Yeah, that seems about right, tried some sights with the Tundra and sights from the new update. I just saw you said they are not compatible. I will try and get some of the sights from Snafu to work.

In regards attaching optics to mounts: only optics from the M&S mod and most vanilla optics can be mounted on M&S mounts by default. If you want to attach optics from other mods to the M&S mounts, you'll need a specific compatibility mod (like this one for the AWS mod).

In regards attaching optics to weapons or mounts to weapons: compatibility issues between mounts or optics from one mod with weapons from another mod aren’t common. They usually happen when a weapon mod does something unconventional.

So, I tested again, no sights are going on the mounts. I am trying with no attachments and the default no attachments option mount with no luck. Tested with multiple guns.

@BrockyTM, I've never seen that issue being related to this mod in my experience (development, testing, actual gameplay, reports from server maintainers). Given that the clues you gave me do not point to a clear direction, here is my suggestion: a) ensure that the setting verifySignatures = 2 is included in the server config; b) run the server with only an admin mod and the one you suspect might be causing the issue; c) if there is no issue, reinstall all mods, and then perform bisection debugging (which is straightforward, but a bit tedious) to identify any potential incompatibilities with another mod.

Added to server, spawned with no attachments, server kicks me for not being able to connect.

If I don't spawn mount, stay in server. Am I missing something? Also, I was able to spawn the mount. No scopes attach to them. What am I missing?

@Bastelbude, to speed things up, I recommend running the server with only the admin mod and M&S. This will help confirm whether M&S is actually causing the issue.

If you test M&S in isolation and confirm it's not the issue, you can use bisection debugging to identify the conflicting mod. Start by disabling half of your mods. If the server works with that half, the problem is likely in the other half. Then repeat the process, narrowing it down until you find the culprit.

If you find the issue before I do, please share your findings here so others can benefit as well. Thanks for your report. I’ll keep an eye on this thread as time allows.

@Bastelbude I'm not experiencing the issue myself, even when running a server with the mods you mentioned. While I’m not ruling out the possibility that M&S could be the cause, it's worth noting that many people are using the mod without problems. It’s unusual that your server is the only one affected. Also, please understand that it's not practical for me to provide individual support for every possible combination of mods, especially given how many combinations there are. I’ll continue investigating when I have time, but I can’t prioritize this case for now based on the current information.

I will try to create a kind of list of the scopes where I have seen this.

to the other questions:
we only have one weapon mod on it, which also contains scopes.

the server was completely deleted before the update to v1.28
I had/have not changed the settings.
and a scope I had spwnt with VPP with the same problem that no reddot was available despite full battery.

@Bastelbude, I’ve tried every combination and didn’t encounter any missing reticles. If this only happens under very specific circumstances, please describe them so I can try to reproduce the issue.

I’ll ask you a few questions that may seem basic, but they might help me understand where the problem is coming from:

a. Has the server you’re playing on been wiped since the 1.28 update?
b. Is the server running any other mods that might conflict with M&S? If so, could you provide a mod list?
c. Have you tried changing your graphical settings?
d. If you’re an admin, have you tried spawning a new optic? If you do, make sure to disable the "auto attachments" feature in the admin mod functionality.

If anyone reading this is experiencing the same issue, could you please answer any of the questions above?

The mod has just been updated. Make sure to update your local mods. Using the official launcher is recommended (Mods > Right-click > Repair). Also, if you're playing on a server, remind the server owner to update the mod if they haven't already.

Yes, I think Spectre 6x zoom is broken, can't use 6x with or without BUIS. Switching between BUIS and 1x works fine, but not the 6x.

@Akol Hello, I haven't played Dayz for a long time since the last update. After this update, I found that the CZ, M70, Blase, Mosin, Pistol, and AK rails are all damaged, and the test object is ACOG4X, which cannot enter the sight angle correctly

@𝙃𝙄𝙆𝙍𝙊𝙇, anyone is welcome to install the mod on their servers or clients. Server owners are authorized to install the mod using the standard method (launch parameters, keys, etc.), and clients will receive the mod via the launcher or by subscribing directly to it on the Steam Workshop. An indication that everything is as it should be is that the mod automatically shows up in the server's mod list and includes a link to this Steam Workshop page after installation. Repacking or redistributing all or part of the mod is prohibited. This ensures the rights of both the creators of the mod and the owners of the licensed content are preserved.

@VLIEK, the mod does not alter how spawnabletypes work. You should try using the specific version of the mount for the optic. If that doesn't work, let me know, and I will take a look.

Basically we only want to use the rails to fit normal optics, and we tried to using spawnabletypes but your mod doesn't seem to allow that, or do we need to spawn all the ones with the scope in the name?

If I spawn the NoAttachment one, but have scopes added to it using SpawnableTypes, how come they don't seem to attach? Does this mod override the way spawnabletypes work script wise?

@i7u and @76561199209067841, this mod has been compatible with 1.27 since 1st February (24 days ago), as stated in the update notes, and it has always been compatible with every version that was the latest at the time, starting from the mod's debut release on 1st Sep 2024. There are highly populated servers running the mod right now.

@B-RADFC, the magnifier can be directly attached to any weapon that supports the vanilla "ATOG," even if those weapons are from mods. Weapons that aren't compatible with the "ATOG" will require a mount.

@B-RADFC, M&S does not change how AWS scopes function. The M&S: AWS applies some tweaks to AWS, but changing its magnifier is not one of them.

does adding this mod make it so that the aws magnifier flips? or could i take out the aws holo and magnifier and make m&s mods holo and magnifier spawn since i dont rreally need any of the mounts i only want the holo for ar platforms
