Found the issue, basically had 2 augs installed and they did overwrite the skins

You need to own CSS and have it mounted (Or delete the gun textures from whatever addon you're using for textures)

what css aug addon is needed for this ? i have only your reskins and the gun addons turned on locally and the guns do not recieve a skin

Which won't do anything because it's not an entity. It's just a material. It will replace the viewmodel material for the CSS AUG (Most commonly seen in TTT)

the gma was already there, but i did find what was going wrong. some other thing was overriding it & keeping it as defualt. thanks for the help

Extract the GMA (Google it) and place in your addons folder.

thanks, but i have another issue. none of the TTT/CSS replasers seem to work now. they worked fine previously, but now they just show up as defualt. not just with your mods, but with all others too. any tips on fixing that?

I keep them seperate because people like to mix and match from other addons. Thaat and someone already made them into a pack for me.

@Yashirmare M16 is my favorite weapon because of its accuracy and raw stopping power. If you could make a reskin of it again, I would be grateful. Preferrably, if you could use a different model, like you did for the shotgun, that would be awesome.

I did but it got removed by Steam due to trolls spamming reports. I was too lazy to jump through the 75 flaming hoops of Steam Support to get it back.

Also i noticed that the way these reskins work is by overriding the old skin (/materials/<weaponmodelpath>). But would it be possible to create a new model, which is an exact copy of the old one, but uses the new skin, so you could use both the old and new skin (so i could have donator weapon skins)

I know that the physguncolor is like a texture, which you might be able to put on the skin, then overlay that with another layer which is black and has alpha to display the origional color/make it darker.
