@Leugi Ok, thanks for clearing that up for me, you may want to change the text to "Start with an extra/additional Explorer", so others don't get confused

@Caesar: You do start with a explorer. The cargo makes you start with an additional explorer.

Stego is right, mostly. If I have ONLY Leugi's mod active, I can load a savegame normally (game loads/reconfigures mod automatically). If I also have ANY OTHER mod active (eg. Cities 5 tiles away), the game doesn't load any mods, even though it knows it needs them. Seems strange that if I have a default faction, mods are recognized and configured when I load a savegame. Probably an if/then error in the game itself.

Yep, did that. Trying it on a different compy so that there's no chance of bleed from something else. Also, disabling all other mods to make sure that there's no conflict there. Saving every 10 turns and adding them in one by one. I'll check back in in an hour or two when I'm done. Hate to lose this mod, since it's much better thought out than the originals.

PhyrePhlye - are nyou sure you wen through the "mods" option, rather than "single player" in the main menu when you loaded the game? The sort of thing you describe sounds a lot like what might happen if you tried to load the game without enabling the mod first.

@PhyrePhlye: That's very odd, maybe the download got corrupted somehow? If the problem ever happens again I'd suggest using the CivFanatics direct link (which sadly doesn't autoupdate)

Seems to be a glitch somewhere. I loaded it and played about 50 turns. Then I saved and shut down. When I came back and loaded it, the city names were corrupted, the game was locked up - and so was my compy. Used Ctrl-Alt-Del to shut the game down, and when I went back and checked, there were no save game files. Played flawlessly when I first started it, though :)

@Nemesis: We would like to see 3D leaderheads too. But please look at Civ5: there are only 3 (three!) animated 3D leaders, and none of them voice-acted. Beyond Earth won't be any different. There is a shortage of 3D artists working on Civ5 and BE to ever anticipate that 3D leaders will appear; or at least not anytime soon.

ok, i mean i thought a bit about it, but it wouldnt be a problem (at least for me) to have things reappearing on new leadermodels used by other leaders. Best example for that is the voice output when you are doing trade and stuff. I wouldnt mind if they share the same voices used from other leaders. I also wouldnt mind if they had other things used by other leaders.
I just prefer to have a "living" person talking to me when doing diplomacy or trades than just having a picture. Again its about immersion and i would like to keep it that way.
Maybe you decide to change that later on when your possibilities are better and you have more options.
The game is quite new and im still covered with the basic stuff and have no need to load mods already. But maybe later, in a year or so, i would love to have it enhanced with 3D animations.

@Nemesis: Might be possible eventually, but I admit its not a goal for this mod in particular, 3D modeling is for now a bit more limited when it comes to picturing the personality of a leader (as you must use an existant leader and its animations as a base)

is there a possibility to have 3d leaderscenes? I would like to have additional factions but i prefer to have leaderscenes in 3D for the immersion. Thats a personal thing, i prefer it this way. But is this going to happen or is this not a goal for the mod or is it even possible to realize?
