Should be fixed, I will fix the icon issue soon, but I did not have more time today
I have added an event that, if you play a Gestalt empire, will trigger once one of your leaders reaches level 8 (I think, or 7.. whatever the destiny level is, i dont have a memory). It will automatically give your leader the ascension path trait for their subclass, as there is only one ascension trait per subsclass for each ascension path.
Tl;dr
Gestalt leader level 8 -> Event pop up -> Get ascension destiny trait

I am going to upload the update to this mod later this coming week, have been busier than expected. I will upload a 3.14 version as well then. Currently it is still on 3.14
I already rolled out a band-aid fix for machines, by making them all veteran traits instead of destiny as I forgot gestalt couldnt take destiny.... and I didnt really notice until now.
That does however mean that Hive empires will still be locked out. Thats something Ill fix in 4.0
The reason for this is because it makes it more compatible with other mods that override different things in the original file. Most files in Stellaris do not require a full file override, and you can instead overwrite by individual key so that mods are more compatible with each other. I recommend joining the Stellaris modding den discord, lots of great information there.
