TVOL, that happens to me ALL the time. Especially for the quest-generated stations, I think it would be cool if you could choose where the station would be made (from a selection of like four or five tiles).

Great idea...now all I need is a way to peacefully aquire the damn things. In my current game a station spawned right on the very tile that I was hoping to put an outpost on (it had good access to a LOT of resources). Only way to fix that problem though was to blow them up and then plop my outpost on top of them. Kinda annoying, especially since the AI kept giving me flak for it, well after they'd been obliterated.

Is there any way you could turn stations into minor civs sorta like the city-states from civ 5? Like in normal games I like to play with 3 or 4 super powers, then a bunch of other minor powers.

Hi both - interesting idea. I might have a look to see if it's something simple to do or if it requires a larger indepth type of project. Is 16 per tier about right or is it over powered?

Yes, if the stations could defend themselves that would be good.

Maybe you can mod this further so that stations can build their own units to defend them as well, like the City-States in Civ V?

I will give it a try, I have to admit it was far to easy to destroy a station. :)
