Oh yeah another bug. If the epic sieges mod is above RBM in the load order then the siege weapons don't have their modified realistic fire rate. If the epic sieges mod is under RBM then the troops dying function of RBM doesn't work.

Ok I found a fix for the bug with RBM. To allow soldiers to die fairly realistically during siege bombardments I have to put this mod above RBM in the load order, rather than the default being under if this mod is newly installed. This stops this mod from messing with that function of RBM but I don't know if it will mess with any of the functions of this mod.

Unless it's caused by the most recent king slayer mod, one possible bug is that during the long bombardment phase of sieges. RBM mod adds attrition as slowly troops die as the siege engines get hit and the walls get hit. But after downloading this and the king slayer mod then I see barely any troops die during siege bombardments and the "catapult hit troops" message no longer shows up.

If I had to guess then this mod increases the HP of siege towers and rams to compensate for the game's unrealistic fast reload speed of siege catapults and onagers. Is it not possible to make a realistic solution and have siege weapons like trebuchets, catapults and onagers just have slower reload speed in-game and in the bombardment phase?

Rather than making an unrealistic solution to an unrealistic problem. Simply reducing siege weapons' reload speed would balance the game without having to increase the siege engines' HP.

I like the mod but I really dont understand why Siege Engines have MORE health than the gate itself. I looked in the files and Siege towers have 15k-20k health while the outer gate has 10k.

I understand that its probably to make up for the aimbot that the AI has but it feels really shitty when im the one aiming the catapult, manage to hit the siege engines and it feels like throwing a wet towel on a wall. Anyone looking to use this mod I recommend editing the health in the files.

Does this change anything about autoresolved sieges? It would be great it the AI wouldn't demolish other factions as fast as in vanilla

anyone complaining that it's impossible to win, attackers should always have 3 to 1 ratios min in a realistic play through. mod it up and fix the party sizes. And doors are nuke proof? you have any idea how much of a challenge it was to break down castle walls and 'doors' back in ancient times? they would reinforce them to the point the technology they had at the time would be impractical to even attempt to break it down. which id assume is why a sieges were more about waiting the enemy out until they starve and become weak, while taking skirmishing the walls. the game can allow that even in vanilla.

Attack, throw all your balls in their face with catapults, let your rangers skirmish along the walls, tell the infantry to stop. Empty? Retreat, go rearm, go back, skirmish again.

Arcade player? Wouldn't recommend mods like this.
Immersive players? Maybe more your thing.

This makes sieges pretty much impossible if you are not controlling the invading army. the enemy catapults on the wall will aim bot focus down your battering rams and towers. and the enemies will push your ladders off the walls with impunity. This is not an epic siege. this is 'Defenders win lul'

Этот мод меняет логику строительства осадных машин на карте кампании? А то у меня бот 1 таран или 1 башню строит и идет на самоубийство теряя башню и таран от вражеских катапульт. У меня установлен только RBM и этот мод

I wouldn't mind the ladder system if the main gate wasn't that hard and tedious to break, makes the siege more like a boring spectating thing now. If epic = longer but boring it's kinda meh. Not said in a bad way, just my opinion.

The pushing ladders mechanic is way too OP. Considering siege towers are too weak and the AI is too stupid to make a lot of them to overcome that weakness. It’s impossible to scale the walls with ladders because the second one is up it is immediately knocked down in the same amount of time each time, regardless of how many men are on the ladder. It should take longer than it currently is to knock them down, and that time should scale with how many men are climbing

i remember when that mod worked. i played this game since the very original. im dying for someone to make it and maintain it the one you are talking about has been dead for a long time. if you have a very good PC it wont crash. i played 4000 at once no problems

There already is a mod for that, it just hasn't been updated. The problem is that Bannerlord only allows 2042 actors in a scene and horses count as an actor (so cavalry are 2 actors a piece). That means if you have 2 armies of 500 each full of cavalry, then you are using 2000 actors already. Going any higher than that tends to make the game crash pretty consistently.

It's the same problem that existed in the first Mount & Blade and unfortunately it wasn't fixed in this one.

When you are joining a siege, you have no more control over your own men, a very bad idea.
I am playing a game to have some fun not for the AI to have some fun.

make a mod that allows us to bring all the troops to a fight i have 5000 troops and so does AI but they only bring 500 for each side at once you want epic sieges add more troops

I really like the idea of the mod, but I wish that I could still use ladders. I've found that you can get away with the ladders if you manage to shoot the Soldier trying to use the pushfork, but 75% of the time the ladder or wall hitbox will block the shot even though it isn't there visually. I also feel like every time I siege I need to build two towers, a ram, 4 catapults, and take out all the enemy catapults/ballistas before hand, just to succeed at a siege. I like the idea of the siege taking more time, but when all the first 10 minutes is is archers exchanging shots, it can get a bit repetitive. Ladders are still broken with getting over them, as once you climb to the top, half the time you can't get off because the walls are jam packed with enemy AI. I do want to mention that most of these are problems with Vanilla Bannerlord itself, but I have hope for this mod since it is going in a really good direction. Thanks!

That's a nice request but I guess it's futile to request it here. You can tell from the kind of changes that this is mostly numerical edits and I doubt (but am ready to be proven wrong) that the ability to drastically edit the AI's behaviour which is an entire different level will happen in this mod.

is it possible to somehow make the ai take up positions using the rear defenses closer to the keep? most of the siege maps are layered defenses but all the battle is only fought at the first wall layer then the defenders run straight to the keep. would be nice to have to fight your way all the way through town

Seems to give the advantage to attackers with rams and towers, but to the defenders if the attackers dare to use ladders. This would make ambushing siege equipment far more crucial to get an easy win.
