Thanks for this mod!
Etherealizer 15 Jul @ 2:48am
This is a great mod. I hope you stay motivated to continue it.
Nesserino Scissors 14 Jul @ 7:54am
Is there already an event for the nobility rebellion that made Novgorod into a Republic in this mod? If not there should be an event or a decision for it

Also consider changing the name for slavic Plutocratic realms from "Most Serene Republic" to something more appropriate like "Veche Republic"

Love that you expanded this mod to include Pisa and Genoa
owenza777 7 Jul @ 9:40pm
CTD for me. Does this have any requirements other than Roads to Power?
Iwen 6 Jul @ 2:21pm
Funny thing happened where I got elected for a title while I'm an entirely different feudal kingdom (I did a crusader kingdom splitoff,) which I gave to a merchant family to turn it back into a republic. I was the only heir of the previous Doge, which made me eligible as a "ruler heir" candidate for the election. The main fix would be to simply forbid any current non-republican rulers I assume.

With this, all the other land-holding families became feudal dukes of their titles.
So now there's "Jarl Antoni Ricardsson of en Bas Family Palace."

+ would it be possible to have a system where current Lord-Mayors are eligible to be given plutocratic family titles? Kind of odd that they're established in a republic, but never gain such titles so they're just stuck as counts. What I mean is: when a new plutocratic family has to come in, it should first consider already landed plutocratic rulers for noble families + estates.
Donal77 6 Jul @ 2:56am
Yes I am, after I revoked a baron's title my estate disappeared.
Emil  [author] 4 Jul @ 10:46am
Are you experiencing that issue on a fresh save?
Donal77 4 Jul @ 6:32am
Is there any way to get your estate back after it disappears?
Emil  [author] 4 Jul @ 12:40am
Sure, I'll take a look at that. That makes sense.
Iwen 3 Jul @ 7:07pm
Would it be possible to have the duchy of the capital (if it exists) be transferred to the successor upon election? Sort of like how in Byzantium, Thrace always goes with the emperor.

The successor does get the capital city of the republic, but the duchy with it (in this case, Barcelona) doesn't go to the new doge. Kinda messes up the insides of the realm although it's not mechanic-breaking.
chronicterror 3 Jul @ 10:46am
could you check if the mod is the reason for the lack of skill in the sedentary ruler?

I'm glad to hear that.
chronicterror 1 Jul @ 5:57pm
played for a long period of time, did not notice the bug with the disappearance of the estate. It seems that the fix worked as it should. thank you author.
Emil  [author] 1 Jul @ 4:48pm
Yeah, it's a bit hardcoded by PDX. I did try to encourage it a bit more. I recommend giving land to landless patricians, then they will marry a lot more.
Iwen 1 Jul @ 3:38pm
Yep it's fixed! Another thing that seems to be happening (that I've reported before) is how patricians don't really like to get married, so still kinda an issue. So they end up having their lines die out and I get all their stuff. I do have mods on so I might try running without it to see what happens.
Emil  [author] 1 Jul @ 3:20am
I uploaded an update that fixes it for the most common occurance of losing the domicile. Let me know, if you still experience this at times.
Emil  [author] 1 Jul @ 3:13am
Thanks, I'm working on a fix.
chronicterror 30 Jun @ 5:09pm
https://ibb.co/spQ9yjpp - here the estate is still in place

https://ibb.co/dwNgqqYT - here after the title was taken away, the estate disappeared
chronicterror 30 Jun @ 5:04pm
I tried playing for the Republic of Visby in 1178. I noticed that when I take away the title from the baron, my estate disappears. I read your comments and see that I am not the only one with this problem.
Iwen 30 Jun @ 4:32pm
Tested it again, with my modset and without.

The best place to see it is Novgorod, since only a bit after game start the palace title just vanishes. Not sure why. I also tested Venice and tried doing a war, and as soon as I won the war and got new land the palace title again disappeared. I'm not sure if this is possible right now (since I don't mod) but I would imagine remerging the titles might fix it?
Iwen 30 Jun @ 3:48pm
It was; I had started as Haesteinn and gone from there to form the plutocracy. Noticed it on some of the other nobles in my realm. I'll try to run another game to see if it persists.
Emil  [author] 29 Jun @ 9:37am
Is this on a fresh save?
Iwen 29 Jun @ 9:09am
Everything seems to be fine, although domiciles disappearing does occur.
I'm doing a Isle of Man republic, and they keep their merchant family title, but the palace title disappears for some of the patricians (and me) whilst others still have it.
Emil  [author] 28 Jun @ 1:46pm
I uploaded a temporary fix for domiciles.
Let me know if you experience any issues.
Emil  [author] 27 Jun @ 6:59am
Not yet.
VONCHADSABURG 24 Jun @ 9:18pm
yo did you ever get any work from paradox regarding the issue
Dedelblute3 21 Jun @ 9:00pm
Addendum to my previous thing, reloading seems to have fixed it. Still not sure why it happened tho
Dedelblute3 21 Jun @ 8:00pm
Got a different bug than the weird domicile thing; For some reason (not sure why, perhaps mod conflict but it's not exactly an easy situation to test) after gaining the Latin Empire through a splintered crusade I led as a plutocratic Isle of Mann I was no longer able to negotiate trade deals with anyone, which wasn't really an issue considering trade comes through domicile income and well domiciles are broken but it takes a lot of the rp out of it.
Emil  [author] 2 Jun @ 3:50am
I know, it doesn't work with latest version. The mod should work if you rollback to 1.15.
smirkyshadow 1 Jun @ 2:39pm
The estates broke :(
Emil  [author] 1 Jun @ 4:47am
Worst-case: It would require a change to the core game code.
Best-case: It would require overwriting a huge amount of core game-script, without any guarantee of it working stable.

Thank you for kindly offering your help, but I'm attempting to get in contact with Paradox regarding the issue.

I could try to help if possible? I'm a modder working on my own big CK project and I would love a functional republics mod so that I can go in and fix the Novgorod Veche republic they added to 1178, which always dissolves in a matter of months basically, rather than dominating its region and defending against the mongols as they did historically

Of course, I could cheese it and make it just an elective monarchy, but what fun is that?
Emil  [author] 30 May @ 4:41am
I'm afraid the scope of the changes is more impactful than I initially expected, they pose a significant challenge in making the mod work with 1.16+.
Emil  [author] 29 May @ 2:13pm
Sure, I will look into it. :)

The recent update did change quite a lot to how domiciles function behind the scenes, I have to redo some functionality.
Gringo 24 May @ 8:13am
pls update mod for a new version ^_^
Lil' Remi 20 May @ 8:14pm
Does this work with multiplayer?
Emil  [author] 19 May @ 11:00am
Nope, not yet.
Cole 18 May @ 7:42pm
@Emil has this been updated to 1.16
smirkyshadow 16 May @ 8:07pm
did estates get removed from this mod is that a bug?
jksherrell 25 Apr @ 12:18pm
I see above that you mentioned working on compatibility is there any plans for AGOT patch?
J0KeRzW!lD 2 Apr @ 10:17am
Any chance this and Dynamic Trade Routes can combine in the near future? This would be epic for the community if these two could get updated together.
T.M. Opera O 2 Apr @ 5:15am
is it just me or can you only choose your oldest family member as the doge candidate?
mihalkov.1978 23 Mar @ 10:27pm
I solved the problem by taking the files from the mod folder and dragging them to the folder with ck3, but this installation process will not affect the gameplay?
Emil  [author] 23 Mar @ 2:16pm
@mihalkov.1978 You most likely have a mod conflict.
mihalkov.1978 22 Mar @ 11:26pm
what should I do if this mod doesn't work, like I still can't play for Venice with it?
tilly 21 Mar @ 5:11am
have you any plans to set up historical merchant dynasties within their respective realms instead of randomly generated guys? youd probably have to clean up the mess paradox made in 1066 for some of them but itd be nice to have dudes like enrico dandolo be playable
Xanadu-King 11 Mar @ 8:14am
That fixed it, thank you.
Emil  [author] 10 Mar @ 3:13pm
@Dak It's not directly possible to make existing courtiers into partricians.
Dak 10 Mar @ 2:01pm
Hey Emil! Loving so far. I wanted to ask how to make a courtier a patrician family? I feel like maybe I am missing something. I would love to make the Grimaldi's a family within Genoa.
