The final skill of the line gives Hellbound which is a very strong ability that gives +20% physical resist, magical attacks, and Perfect Vigour so having to build up slowly until you get the really powerful ability feels good I think. Also, Hellbound is disabled when hp <25% so you still get the -70% vigor loss reduction when you are low on health.

For bull centaur tauruk, the Daemonic Metal Monster line seems to be redundant with itself, the second skill grants 70% vigor loss reduction while the third skill grants functionally permanent perfect vigor.
