Sad that it does not work, but this IS the original Boltgun. Would be nice to have a mod for all bolt weapons:
~Boltor:A crappy variant that is easy to build but has bad recoil and a small clip(magazine space you Feudal worlder) Worse then even the bolt pistol.
~Bolter: A chaos variant that cost you hydrogen to shoot and has a rare chance to shoot a screaming bolt that drains the opponents oxygen and shuts down all systems temporarily(lights, jump jets, vehicles but not weapons)

~Archeotech boltgun(this mod): Faster, more scatter-fire and bigger explosions
~Boltgun(What smirky is looking for) Basic boltgun, rapid fire of explosive mini rocket bullets with varying ammunition!!!!
~Bolt pistol: Low rate of fire, amazing accuracy, small explosions, high critical locations damage
~combi-weapons: regular boltgun with a second firing options: Flamer, Plasma, Melta(make it a real melta ray not a stupid heat shotgun, the thing isn't suppose to pierce or scatter... it is a heat wave... you burn through your target and shoot another? enough time has gone by for it to count as a second attack. It reduces most materials to ash or lava.)

~Combi-bolter: Shoots twice the amount of bullets as a boltgun in a straight line, not much scatter, takes long to reload.
~Stormbolter: Major scatter but fires 4 times the amount of bolts a boltgun does in the same time, Damage increased to make up for TERRIBLE scatter of shots
Astartes shotgun: essentially a shotgun boltweapon, shooting a slug at the enemy and then blowing up a very large explosion capable of hitting multiple personnel
Scout rifle: Very slow but deals extreme damage with little explosion but immense knock back possibly forcing you to receive fall damage
~Artificer variants: Increase in bullet speed, damage, reload times and clip sizes(magazine space you Feudal worlder)
~Heavy bolter: Slows down the player and consumes more energy to hold the weapon, More damage, massive increase in range and rate of fire but still fires one bolt at a time.

Vehicle systems:
~Heavy bolter: A pintle variant, a twin linked variant and a AA variant with a quad linked turret and finally a defence Turret sporting 8 AA heavybolters with a Lazcannon in the middle.
~Raillance: a Bolter variant of the lance batteries, shoots a ray that pierces through ships and creates explosions upon contact.
~Macrocannons: Not a bolter but functions in the same way but on a much bigger scale, these can break apart ships with one well placed shot.

~Exterminatusfactorum: A extremely large weapon that can launch or drop very large ammunition, allowing the player to lob a mechanism or a very expensive gargantuan bolt variant: Toxic(makes the planet into a dying alien planet without an atmosphere... ergo dying and sick), Incendiary(turns the planet into a charred moon of little value besides basic minerals), Radiation( remouves planets altogether replacing it with a expansive dense field of asteroids; ice and stone), Sanctic(turns the planets into a stormed wasteland for a long time until it inevitably changes into a frozen planet), Warp(the planet just disappears into a warphole leaving crack in reality that shoots weather effects in random directions and spawns A generic Deamon vessel that is difficult if not annoying)

Finally This complete list of Bolt weaponry would hafto include Varying ammo that can only be used by: Boltpistols, Boltguns, Astartesshotguns, Stormbolters and heavy bolters including Archeotech and artificer variants.

I do not remember all of these ammos by heart but it should be easy to associate them to this game...
~Kracken bolts: more penetrating and explosive power then regular bolts
~Hallucinogen bolts: Causes the player to see fog and none existent spiders
~Incendiary bolts: the more hydrogen you got the worse it hurts you
~Crystaline bolts: rips through hull and health alike
~Neutron bolts: Saps your power as well as your health and cuts your jump jets momentarily (cuts power temporarily and wastes fuel for vehicles) very strong against energy sheilds
~Sanctified bolts: blind the target like a flash bang and damages health, power and hydrogen
~Imp bolts: Transforms affected Large blocks into meat coloured cyberhouds that blow up, Characters hit cannot use there weapons or systems for 6 seconds multiplied by the stack of consequent hits.

This is just a fanart brainstorm, there is room for changes or additions.

Not entirely recoilless, but more like the POM of a grenade launcher than the sharp PAK of a regular cartridge, yeah- they're basically 20mm rockets launched out of the barrel from brass-and-gunpowder casings. RoF is very high to what you'd think if you obsess about 40k tech way too much like we do, I'll agree, treat it more like a small caliber hand-held autocannon, so a slower, throatier POM POM POM instead of RATATATATAT, if those onomotopieas make an sense to the timing.

Lovly model, but it fires to fast, bolters or recoilless Rifles fire self propeled HE shells like a miny missile launcher,
There perfict for space cuss there recoil less but less bulky than a missile while garentied to make a mess of the target if it is in range (bolter shells auto detonate at 1000 yards)

it looks like all his weapon/turret are not survival ready. Except the rocket launcher, if you have a rocket container to waste to fire 1 ammo.

Is this survial ready? It doesn't seem to except the Nato mags, and I can't see anything else in the assembler menu that it would use for amm. Is there something I'm missing?

And from that day forward, they gave all the bolters to the space marines and gave the rest of the imperium Flashlights.

But the imperium still get around that by strapping them to tanks instead, so no biggy.

It should NOT fire that fast, nor that much without reloading. A human-zied bolter, canonically, only carries maybe five rounds and fires semi-automatically only. A single shot from a bolter has enough recoil to lay non-enhanced human beings on their ass.

How come it does not recognize magizines, ammunition boxes, or missile containers as ammo? This seems to happen to all of your Sguns except the M4A1. And yes, i only have 1 enabled at a time.

The Heavy bolter does have a higher fire rate, but neither are slow. The big thing is that the heavy bolter fires a higher caliber ammunition as well as has a devestating rate of fire.

Prima is right with bolters having a low fire rate. But they did the exact same thing in Dawn of War, where Space Marines with regular bolters had the exact fire rate of the Heavy Bolters. I'm sure the point of the Heavy Bolter WAS so they could fire at stupid rates.

Hence why the Imperium insists of strapping them and assault cannons to every vehicle ever.

Is it possible to program a large ship turret so fire slower but do more damage? like an intermediate turret between the gatling and missile ones, thanks for the good work youre putting into the game :)

lol, ok Sektan you rock!! I love it. As for the fire rate its low, it was said bolters are a aim and skill not a spray and pray weapon so 1-3 round burst.

Found this as an example from old school 40k, notice your model bolter is used, and you mite enjoy a little play through from an old 40k game. Just skip the first few min to get to game play, though it dose show weapon loadouts for how 40k was in early editions. It shows fire rate for a turn, what can be fired off in a few seconds, single shots only.
