Make sure you are using version 1.2.1
I need to rewrite the popups, they make maintenance seem much more pressing than it really is.
But that requires updates to the localization.
You have a minimum of 5 hours to do maintenance before there will be any effects (could be as high as 50 hours).
Your idea would essentially require a rewrite of the way the maintenance schedule works. It's not out of the question, but it's not happening near term.
It does not remove damage if you ignore maintenance, but that requires ignoring maintenance for hours in-game.
Is it possible to make sure that the engine oil taken on board the submarine is consumed?
@BobbySopor I think that feature was from Iron Coffins mod.
iirc i had a situation where the bilge pump got destroyed and i got stuck with too much water in the boat so i was stuck to the seabed. i had no spare parts left so i dismantled the radio station and with these parts to repair the pump, got back to surface and went home. pretty interesting and unique situation.
is this still possible?
Love the mod, thank you !
I have custom actions enabled, yet every maintenance "action" instantly break the part.
Is it how it's supposed to work ?
Thanks !
But the "try to do maintenance but get damage instead" bug is likely still there.
I know what code is doing this, I just don't know why. I've asked Alligator about what that code is supposed to do, but it may take him some time to get back to me.
Yeah, that would do it.
Missing Example:
if ((maintenanceModifier.Value + timeToDamage) == (float)(hoursOnSee))
Hopefully sq_paradox can take a look this.
Without knowing anything about how UBOAT handles health of objects, is there a timer that's being ignored when RNG maintenance occurs? Expected behavior is for the timer (probably in thousands of ms) to run until "0", then the "damage.part[object]" method gets called? I'm wondering if the timer (or whatever mechanism you're using) isn't functioning properly.
That's an old bug I've never managed to hunt down. It seems to happen when you try to do maintenance too quickly after getting the message.
i remember that with this mod it was possible to dismantle equipment to get scrap parts to repair other stuff. is this option gone or am i missing something?
Many THX for your work!
Greetings,
Alligator
