that's a good point actually I'm deleting the mod

bold of you to assume the citizens in hl2 would still have that shine in their eye after 20 whole years of 1984

Note that this issue occurs when you have a lot of mods. It happens in Black Mesa, but someone made a fix for the issue which works. Unfortunentaly, HL2 doesn't seem to have this fix, and I have to unsubscrbe from some mods to get captions to start working again. I removed this, the lamp, and the radiator fix and then it finally started working again.

Can you make something to fix captions when you have a lot of mods? Please I'm begging of you, the lack of captions is ruining my game and the author of the captions fix for BM is doing nothing.

Strange. I've encountered that but only maybe once or twice, and it's not consistent. Well, sorry, did my best, but it may just be a programming issue.

@Taehl That seems to be a bug either with the shader itself or an issue with the workshop. I've seen a few people report that happening, but it's inconsistent and seems to happen sort of at random.

Is it just me, or does this make the whites of their eyes fullbright white? Really unnatural, unlike the default.

Could be either compatibility issues with another mod you have installed or just a semi-rare bug with the shader itself. I've seen an error like that happen before, but never in Half-Life 2 itself.

Randomly stops working, resulting in missing texture for eyes and spits out "Requesting texture value from var "$envmap" which is not a texture value" in the console.

and i think their eyes are too reflective whenever near very bright light, it make their pupil became white

also just recently played half life 2 again and now alyx missing texture is gone without explanation

Could be conflicting, I've never encountered missing eyes with these before. Make sure you aren't on directX 8 mode

not sure if it's a conflict with another mod, but i have a few rebels that are missing eye textures
