How did your fix it?
Guessed as much, thanks. Ive actually restarted the campaign with a diff LL and the crashes went away.
Btw on a different topic would you consider making the wood elf siege defence map brighter?

It's soo dark it's genuinely hard to play on it imo. And it's not my gamma/monitor. Game's gamma's default, monitor gamma has been Lagom'd
Any ideas? Could the mod have brought up the crashes even on the campaign map?
Is there a way to turn down the fog? A MCM menu to keep few options would be nice.
any fps drops when your mods are used?
I think the problem is, while variety is inherently good, players have zero strategic means to decide what weather they want to play/see. It makes equal sense that vampire want to fight at night but humans want to fight them at day, so.... Well, accept my heartfelt appreciation for your work. I feel fortunate being able to work upon what you have built.
Been doing a second pass to all my night environments, trying to find the correct balance of brightness whilst retaining the immersive and atmospheric goal of the mod.
Currently getting real close to making nights too bright for my taste!
I have tweaked and sometimes significantly increased the brightness of the nights in the following regions:
- Empire
- Bretonnia
- Athel Loren
- Sylvania
- Kislev
- Norsca
- World's Edge Mountains
Will get to the rest in the following updates.
I also tweak nights all the time while i play myself. I've lightened some nights in the Empire a bit (though still only locally on my end).
Also, in this way you are probably adding day skyboxes indiscriminately to every area, even where they dont belong (eg. crystal clear sky in the Darklands).
Finally, Vampire Corrupted enviroments will be partially broken since they cycle through the 6nights + 2 unique ones. Depending on how you did it, you're going to get blue sky and sunshine in areas with +100 Vamp Corruption :D
Then find the ones titled, /wh_night_clear_01, have everything in it replaced by everything copied from /wh_day_clear_01. Et cetera.
This is definitely a stupid fix of mine though, compared to modders who really know the magic.
So far I have replaced the codes in _night_.environment_group with the ones from Days. And it's been great..... Hope this helps anyone who's looking.
It would be nice if anyone could make a Visibility Prioritized mod. Just give me more sunny days and let me see the unit textures I paid for, please.....
- updated all the Chaos Realms map with brand new and unique environments, in line with the rest of the mod (they were pure vanilla still). I re-added to these maps a strong blur in order to give them a more immaterial feel.
- Unfortunately, you wont see these maps all too much in your campaigns since they are pretty much non existant in IE, except a couple of quest battles. They are present in RoC of course, but barely anybody plays that map. They are present and fully playable in ChaosRobies The Old World since he added the Chaos Realms back to the map.
- expect what you see in the Chaos Wastes or monogod corrupted areas but dialed up even more for each god.
- I've added a bunch of screenshots to the gallery as a preview. You'll find them after the Chaos Wastes screenshots.
Now, as mentioned in previous comments, in some maps the moon, may be obstructed by mountains or buildings. This may cast a truly pitch black area on the battle which is not intentional and i need to fix. But i won't be testing several hundred maps for this, hence me needing a screenshot of both the battle area and the minimap. This allows me to pinpoint it and fix it, if it is indeed the problem.
@wiselight3 where in the WH world are you fighting? Some area are naturally (and lorefully) more rainy than others. If you well me where you're finding lots of rain i can tell you if you're just being unlucky with the RNG or not.
so its up to you whathever you would like it or not, but we are here to battle the battles, and not to raise brightness to max each time you face an enemy at night.
@Dreadnaughty Pitch black areas are generally unintentional and caused by the moon being hidden behind mountains in certain maps. I really need a screenshot of the battle map (with the sky visible) and of the minimap please. That would help as it would allow me to pinpoint what specific map it is right away. Without it i can't really do much unless i feel like testing and loading hundreds of maps to find the issue. Thanks!

I also noticed that the Unit command UI is kind of hidden. If you zoom in you can see it. But not if you are zoomed out. Like range - movement commands etc.
I love the mod and the atmosphere it gives. But not being able to see some UI stuff is hard. Any way to fix that?
