When I first downloaded this I just thought it was a beta design and name of the actual strider, I have learned it is not and that I just haven't watched a lot movies

@Canamec Yes, it's a fucking indestructible titanium giant.
There are problems with the order of the bones in the model, which differ from the original Strider ones, which is why it doesn't take hits from the player...

@东 海 帝 皇 If you have saved the game with this mod enabled, you will have problems when you load the game without the mod enabled.
So you should save the game when the mod is not enabled, or simply disable the mod and load the map you were in from the console command. Search on the internet how to change the map from the console.

And yes, it is a pain to fix the hitboxes, I have not yet found the definitive solution, since the distribution of the bones of the Tripod differs from those of the Strider, and it seems that this affects how it behaves in which parts it can receive damage.

It is insanely hard to beat the tripods at the end of Follow Freeman. Even knowing where to aim, their hitbox is way lower and always behind buildings but they can shoot from higher up than that.
I can't even uninstall it, as it crashes the game instantly. I'd probably have to eventually save when there is no tripods and then uninstall.

@pink.noise.chick Yes, I know. I already made it clear in the addon description, but thanks for the heads up anyway.
Some missing original Strider animations need to be added for the Tripod, and then the Tripod will appear at the end of episode 1.
I'd love to fix it now, but I need help from someone who can help me with the animations.

@Ramox You need to shoot the back leg, right in the middle. Read the addon description where I explain how to kill the tripod with few rockets.
I still have a lot of bugs to fix, and I don't know when I'll continue working on this mod. But all of this can be fixed, so that it takes damage just like the Strider from Half-Life 2.

Данный противник не уязвимый и слишком большой я не могу тупо пройти дальше где должен выйти страйдер под мостом и ломать столбы по скрипту он такой большой что аж за текстуры вылезает можно испарвить данные проблемы с такими моментами?

Ok this is a great mod, really love the idea that the Combine previously invaded the martians and took there tripod design, its in character for the combine to do this, so fits well in the game,

However, its literally IMPOSSIBLE to beat a single tripod, im playing on normal mode and I must have spent like an hour firing rockets at it, probably up to like 40 rockets and it wont go down, in the end I had to just run past it, but in the last episodes its part of the game to kill the stiders so no idea what I will do then? any chance you can make then weaker? just make it as weak as the original striders. Thank you

@oswaldboi08 Yes, this problem occurs sometimes, when you load a game with an updated addon.
The solution is to start the map from the beginning, putting the command in the console.
That is, if you saved the game in "ep2_outland_11a", simply type in the console "map ep2_outland_11a" and problem solved.

And I think I found a crash with this mod on the chapter's where you mostly start for the first time engaging striders on HL 2. I think it was the chapter anticitizen or after. :D

And yes, it was a good idea to put them in Half-Life 2, because there are ideal scenarios of a destroyed city or a forest.
Although we need to get a more detailed tripod model, and make some modifications so that they shoot disintegration rays, like in the movie. :gordon:

I found that the tripod mod sometimes gets shader problems like it fades away whenever I get a distance from it. Thought the mod it's amazing I love these tri pods it's much more menacing to watch them in action on half life 2. This mod makes me want to wait for the upcoming war of the worlds game that's starting early access on steam. :D

@Shakes Yes, there are parts of the game where the Tripod simply cannot go, due to a size issue, and it ruins some sequences.
I will have to find a way to change the strider model, within those .bsp maps, and select the default model.
So, in some maps the Tripod would be present, and in others, the hl2 Strider to avoid problems.

As imposing as the size is, I believe it breaks the scripted strider sequence in "Follow Freeman" where the strider is supposed to crash into the tunnel and chase you. This is immediately following the multi-strider battle in the city square.
