Could somebody help me understand how to achieve Federation Unification? I'm at the final level of centralisation and have all the requirements to propose the law but I'm not able to click it, it's blocked out.

Whats the compatability with Federations Expanded updated? I love the mod for the Laws for Diplomatic Contribution, Public Policies and the Associate Protection - maybe you could take these into your own mod or similar things if there is no compatability?

@Sparble i've tried monitoring researched techs, compared tech levels between our empires, and watching for every new year, but there's been nothing. no shared techs or lag spikes; my only assumption is that the transfer isn't triggering at all. we have a few other mods (gigastructures, planetary modifiers, and darkspace being the big ones), but we're certain that none of them affect federations at all.

@♡ cherry ♡ no events, if the law is active every year (1.1.) a random federation member is selected and all other members automatically research the techs the selected member hs unlocked. Only indicators are for one that you have new buildings/megastructures/ships/anything that requires said tech or a lag spike on the first of each year.

friend and i are in a research cooperative, but our techs aren't sharing? we have the law set to exchange tech every year. no events or indication that anything is happening.

@Raicerit yes, if you set your succession type to "Challenge" there are various options, including an option where all leaders fight 1v1 in an arena

I don't think the tech sharing should be limited to Research Cooperatives. Maybe have it be a law that all federations can have, but Research Federations have a reduced centralization requirement for it. Would kill two birds with one stone, you don't get the absurdly powerful tech sharing right off the bat, and you aren't forced to use a Research Federation to get it.

@LoneStarDybbuk the AI is more or less accepting, it depends on ethics, civics and AI personalities. e.g. rogue servitors have a high acceptance for unification, whilst xenophobes or especially isolationists have low acceptance
as for the ideas, I appreciate the feedback, unfortunately though I have no time to add these features with vassalization or conglomerate federation. Megacorps are meant for the trade federation though afaik

Will the AI pursue the supranational integration, or is it not something I should expect? Maybe certain AI personalities should support those laws, and others should not.

Perhaps you can make it where the supranational federation can be formed with some of its members, but others become subjects. IDK kinda suck to see megacorps get swallowed up when they join into democratic federations. You could also add in a special Conglomerate federation, specifically for megacorps. When they unify they will become a new giant megacorp.

If a megacorp does join one of the other types of federations, and they unify, perhaps they could become a vassal instead of disappearing. That way they can still spread their enterprise throughout the galaxy(and the federation they are part of).

theres a mod called superstates that has kinda that same idea, where instead of one galactic unifcation via the gc, it adds like 3 others depending on your civics/ethics i think

you could probably see how that mod does it and perhaps maybe use it for this
i dunno though
i know very little about modding XD

@Sparble no yeah a new flag does make sense Imo, but an idea that would be epic is if for each civic/type of unification you get, like depending on which federation type it is, you get a different flag yk?

@SalmonFeet yeah, preset gal imperium flag. I can remove that feature though if the majority doesnt like it, just thought that a new flag would make perfect sense, e.g. if EU united they probably wouldn't use France's/Germany's/Poland's flag
