@Sybilregal I see. I found this post because I was curiopus if someone exported the models from the game since I had a project in mind of maybe creating a VRchat avatar of the player models because I find them really cute, but I really don't want to decompile the game to try it, and I don't have enough experience with character modeling to mess with it

heya, are the armatures and weights from the game or did you make them from the ground up? i've been trying to port the characters from the game to blender but it doesn't preserve blendshapes nor armatures/weights with the tools i've tried.

I will note that before I knew how to add shapekeys to bodygroups, like the eye meshes, I had to remove that option since otherwise it would break the flexes. I found a solution, though, and may re-add flex-based blinking in a future version.

@Σאδ0 The only blendshapes (or shape keys) that are used for the player characters are for changing proportion sizes and making them blink. For the NPCs that blink, that is the only shape key they have.

Also, how Atlyss changes face expression sprites is swapping textures around, but that system would not work in Source as texture swaps effect the entire model per-option. As in, the bodygroups system used for this pack was exclusively made by myself.

Wait, the parts of the player characters are a separate mesh? I really thought they were blendshapes 💀

it is possible to do player characters, but it would be a VERY lengthy process, as each part of the more complex (aka humanoid) models are made up of separate meshes what would all need to be imported.

I think it would be neat to have in blender though, a sort of "character creator" using custom properties similar to how it's set up in the game.

I just now pushed out a very large rigging and bug fix update, which is going to break any pre-v1.1.1 sessions for sure. Please keep that in mind after or before you update.

@Reiku Yin I actually didn't know she had those. I had to re-create the other facial expressions from scratch since I couldn't find them when extracting Atylss' textures.

@Silly Snek I could port the default races (the 2 Male and Female defaults of the Poon, Kubold, etc.), but it would still take awhile to do. It's possible, though.

I could also take commissions for specific-looking race ports that won't go on the Workshop.

Also, keep in mind that I'm always taking bug reports or feature requests through the comment section.

To any unsubscribers, not saying why you did so afterwards does not contribute to making this pack any better. I can change model weight paints, bodygroup functionality, and so on.
