@Hiroguy It's incredibly easy, files like this will be named the same as vanilla so each will override (mostly without any compatibility issue) if you just sub to a different blood submod and load that above this submod.

Honestly, I completely agree with you—I actually use a different blood mod myself. The Effects Asset Update submod brings in things like dust, fog, clouds, blood, smoke, fire, insects, etc., mostly from Thrones of Britannia. They're often much nicer and higher-res than the effects in base game Attila.

Btw I'm sure your Mum is pretty in her own way, don't worry. x

@Praise_Lord_Gaben The Link I offered in my description is a link to a VERY VERY simple file that changes the intro loading screen to Credits for the boys who made Nementon! It's a sneaky trick to give some credit where it is actually due! I lied about it being necessary!

@Hadi No, but if you're using it for base game Attila I'd recommend the full conversion. Nementon: Remaster Attila Mods. The current owner is a little bitch but it is a fantastic set of mods that convert later titles, mainly thrones of brittania assets, over to Attila base.

My mods transfer over SOME assets but I was careful not to replace anything in the 1212 campaign that was hisrotically accurate with something that was inaccurate, for example, the boats on the campaign map are viking ones in the mods so my addition doesn't add campaign boats. ect ect ect.

@Lionheart Funny you say that. I agree and use a different mod to layer a better blood effect on top of the other effect changes. It really makes a great difference.

@[S.P.Q.R.] Kefkaius Many of earls fixes are already a part of 1212ad, be careful what you overlap. Not all of Earls mods will be compatible with mine. This is effects, if Earls mods edit effects, they won't be compatible and so on.

@[S.P.Q.R.] Kefkaius I'll be turning some of my mods into a single one for simplicity sake. I tried to collab with EARL but he wasn't interested in making them compatible. I'm working on other projects for 1212 at the moment.

All unit destruction on the battle map seems to cause a fire effect, is this intentional or accidental?

Cannon smoke is very dark even with the fix. What can I do about the cannon smoke? It cause alot of lag.

First, yes. Second, it’s probably a good idea to turn it off when playing 1212 AD since they have their own animations you wouldn’t want to overwrite. Third, my mod fixes some of the 1212 AD animations and adds a few new ones, so using another animation mod alongside it might not be the best idea. You’re welcome to try, but the mods might not work as intended together.

This asset mod replaces effects assets. The original placeholder effects for guns and cannons, when used with my mod, unfortunately look worse compared to the base 1212 AD visuals.

However, I’ve already released my “Animations and Gameplay” asset update, which fixes this issue along with several others. Simply download that update alongside this mod, and those unsightly bellowing puffs of fire and smoke from gunners and cannons will be replaced with improved visuals.

hey mate the campaign submod works a treat - super good! Is this effects mod 100% compulsory for the campaign mod? I have the same issues with cell, super dark gun smoke that lingers and also spontaneous fires are a crazy causes some lag for me

@Cell Tv Hmm, that incompatibility is odd, maybe that submod changes an effect or texture?

That gun smoke issue is something I thought I resolved. Let me double check that it works for me and update the submod. Thanks for pointing that out.

Also looks like that the gun smoke is not working right, Is too black and doesn't stop after shooting, causing an fps drop.

@DripSolaire Thanks for the feedback! Earl’s Gun Animations Fix isn’t needed here—handgun animations are included. Earl’s Cav is incompatible but a compatibility update is my top priority. It’ll likely be save-compatible, so you can seamlessly integrate it into campaigns you have Earls Cav installed on once my update comes through. It is compatible with Earls Double Artillery and Unit Size mod. Thanks for your patience!
