Just to confirm for any that see this, this mod is broken. It limits farms to just a single farmer, regardless of size.
Kinda funny, considering how many copies of this mod exist on the Workshop...

hmm this also messes with the amount you can server to farming jobs? cuz each of my farms are stuck with only 1 farmer cannot give more at all

This mod increasing the value that showing to the player instead of the actual value. That maybe the reason why you see your village has a lot of food but the citizen don't.

People are starving in mass even though there's enough food. Disabled this mod and everything's fine again. My guess is that an update broke this mod. Will you update it? This is one of the absolute best mods out there.

Does this mod mess up with the woker per X tiles requirements on each field? If so It would be useful to know the modified values in order to calculate the most optimal field size. In vanilla it is 15x8/11x11 for fields and 15x4/7x10 for orchards.

Tried this mod, but for some reason suddenly I had villagers starving despite abundant food reserves. Never seen that before and this was literally the only thing that had changed.

I guess to answer my own question somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 to 25 squares to 1 farmer seems to get the crops down and collected prior to winter.

this is great and all is there some way to gauge how many workers a particular field should be assigned to get best efficiency? or am I being dense?

Seredai, I am pretty sure it works this way two farmers don't work on the same crop you just need more workers but i have not tested this out. Just and idea.

I should add that as of this post, there are _20_ shamelessly stolen reposts of this mod on the Workshop, only 1 of which even slightly attempts to disguise that fact (they slapped a German flag on the mod's preview to try and make it look like it was a German translation... but forgot to run the cut-and-pasted English description through Google Translate into German). I've flagged them all, but I don't know when or if Steam will do anything about them.

boy... u have to choose how many people have to work there. Standard=1 worker.
But u can set it up to 10 worker if u need.

Not sure how helpful this is i can only have 1 worker per field no matter how large it is and i harvest much slower its a good idea but at the moment you're better off sticking with the origernal fields

so what exactly is the best ratio for size per worker? I was using the calculator thing before but this says its "more forgiving" what does that mean? that the biggest size with most workers is the best option now?

I cant comprehend how this would be more efficient in any way. Had a field about twice the size of a normal max field with 20 workers adn barely even got to 50% yield by the time it was winter. Maybe bump up growth rates or decrease required workers for larger fields to make it on - par with other methods of getting food.

This is nowhere near as efficient as 11x11 farm plots:steamsad: i had 11 11x11 plots that only requires 33 workers and gathered 100% resources over producing for 200 people than a 23x48 with nearly 68 workers only getting 70-85% under producing for 200 people.

I installed this, it seems to be working fine, but it says I only need 1 worker for the field which cant be right. Is this fixable? You say more workers per field but how are we supposed to know how many?

@Opt_0 Yes this is the original. I am sure there ar e other mods that do this too by now. This is just the best known one I think because I made it onyl a few days after the mod kit first came out.

Great mod. For those complaining that it takes too many people, try the mod Pick Me UP with this. Farmers won't collect the food as they harvest so it drops an item that laborers can pick up.

I would care more about this mod being copied and claimed by others on the Workshop if *this* one actually worked. Splitting herds is broken. Number of workers required for a field is broken. Don't cry for a mod designer who breaks base game functionality. :P I really want to use this mod because I love the idea of having more field/pasture flexibility, but all it does is cause me to pull out my hair more. :-/

@ Lord, You're right that the harvest takes a lot of people but you don't consider that normally in farming communities EVERYONE helped during the harvest, the game doesn't factor in that for the 1 month period the harvest should take place over everyone should essentially become a farmer, harvesting the food to store over the winter, further, even if you as the player try to game the system (pause and make everyone a farmer or laborer once you notice the first harvest starting) you don't really gain any bonus, people just stand around not helping to get everything inside before the snows kill your harvest. Further, feilds in this game don't produce enough of a harvest. Gathering and hunting are far too effecent and farming isn't nearly effecent enough. There's a reason humans moved away from hunting and gathering into farming, its because farming requires must less input for the output you get.
