Iwas wondering if you updated it because the textures are bright pink
viridis 23 Nov, 2015 @ 11:30am
i don't know how to use them but they are pretty badass so go on modding please!:steamhappy:
Fritz 20 Oct, 2015 @ 3:35pm
You shouldn't give up on making mods, because your really good at it and a lot of people don't know how to make mods, and some people just say stuff and don't think when they say them.
MonkeyCMonkyDo  [author] 5 Oct, 2015 @ 8:43am
Not sure what you mean by 'unbalanced size for offering conveyor connections', though I decided to stop making mods anyway so there won't be any changes in order to get your beans :P

Thanks so much to all of your for your compliments and constructive criticism. Just as a note the diamonds and shading are actually designed in rather than being a result of stock shading. I do agree that using unique textures would have made for a great improvement though, sadly I didn't get that far before giving up on modding.

Thanks for those pics too, made me smile to see the wings in use :)
mrbojinkles 28 Aug, 2015 @ 10:47am
Looks decent, but the size is unbalanced for offering any conveyor connections. You, sir, do not have my beans.
Fritz 31 May, 2015 @ 1:45pm
Looks good
galico_sam_3000 27 Mar, 2015 @ 8:20am
awnsome
OptomisticGaming 2 Mar, 2015 @ 3:51pm
This looks cool
Skylark 1 Mar, 2015 @ 6:16pm
The convayor doesnt seem to be working for me, otherwise I think they are great.

Badass: Yes hahah

What you have here are some neat hardpoint-type pieces that could see a lot of use. As others have said, they will eventually need textures, to get rid of the stripes and diamonds of inverted colors caused by the tex not fitting the mex.

Have to give these a try in game.
Offyerrocker 19 Jan, 2015 @ 6:57pm
You could improve this by adding unique textures to your blocks, instead of using the stock thruster or steel block textures- putting those on an irregular surface (whereas the texture was designed for a flat rectangle) makes it look deformed rather than neat. Otherwise, good work!
ShadowLord 3 Jan, 2015 @ 1:17pm
Very nice mod, makes my fighters for my carrier look "badass" great job!
ThatVia 2 Jan, 2015 @ 3:15pm
Ender, I believe this is a beautiful looking mod and I support it, I think the people who have downvoted it simply don't like the "wings in space" thing. Simply put they are either super pickey or jackasses who want nothing to do with it. They could, however, simply leave their opinion in their own minds and NOT post such negativity to a young and blossoming mod creator.
Rob / Litch 13 Dec, 2014 @ 4:38pm
Yeah i ended up sorting it out in the end, sorry for asking lol
MonkeyCMonkyDo  [author] 13 Dec, 2014 @ 3:23pm
@ Colonel O'Neill - Yes, anywhere you see the yellow and black doors is a conveyor port, there are also ports on the 'inside' of the wings to connect to the rest of your conveyor network. In general they are small conveyors but the 'Large Skirt' has large conveyor connections for reloadable rocket launchers.

@ Litch - I'm not quite sure what you mean to be honest, there are some great conveyor mod packs out there that might have the parts you need though.
Haram Bae 8 Dec, 2014 @ 8:40am
Ok, so if I just clip gatling guns on the those wings like pictured, they will be connected to a conveyor system?

Sweet. I will check these out, then.
Rob / Litch 30 Nov, 2014 @ 12:27am
Any chance you could make a flat 1x4x1 conveyor or something so we can easily fit the reloadable rocket skirt to our designs?
☣MLC☣ DARK HELMET 26 Nov, 2014 @ 10:39am
thanks for doing it, thanks for posting it. Sharing your hard work is appreciated don't let mean peeps discourage ya!
Crimson Revenant 24 Nov, 2014 @ 7:59pm
I've seen people downvote adorable kittens, there will always be 1 jerk in room of 10 people. Its an interesting mod, maybe they were salty because their design got wrecked by a ship using this?
Vinier McNuggNugg 17 Nov, 2014 @ 3:20pm
im the only chicken here...oh wait your a duck
(BWOOOOOOOONG)
Goatplug 15 Nov, 2014 @ 7:58pm
No problem.
MonkeyCMonkyDo  [author] 15 Nov, 2014 @ 7:57pm
Thanks Duck, appreciate that :)
Goatplug 15 Nov, 2014 @ 7:56pm
English Ender, people may not actually think your mod is bad. Some people are just dicks and don't seem to feel any compassion for others. Don't take it personally. Just ignore it if you can.
Vinier McNuggNugg 15 Nov, 2014 @ 2:05pm
cool
MonkeyCMonkyDo  [author] 14 Nov, 2014 @ 6:31pm
Dont be sorry, it is the way it is with this sort of thing, it is just not something that I enjoy anymore when it comes to sharing publically lol
Reverend Revenant 14 Nov, 2014 @ 4:40pm
D: Sorry
Yeah that's kind of unfortunate that it has to be that way. But it's kind of like all art. :L
MonkeyCMonkyDo  [author] 14 Nov, 2014 @ 2:36pm
I'll keep doing mods for me, but probably won't publically share them or if I do I'll just drop them on the workshop and ignore them from then on in. It is difficult to spend over 40 hours working on something and pouring yourself into it and then getting a negative response from the public.
Reverend Revenant 14 Nov, 2014 @ 1:25pm
Yeah, don't get discouraged. If you have something you wanna add, do it. We're ungrateful but really, all modders are really amazing people for making SE better
Rhedd 14 Nov, 2014 @ 1:03pm
Don't get discouraged.
Do what you have fun doing, and share it.
MonkeyCMonkyDo  [author] 14 Nov, 2014 @ 6:08am
It is just a he and sorry you find them to be like that, thanks for the feedback. Best to just unsubscribe, think I'm just going to stop modding so won't be updating or changing, will leave the mod on the workshop incase anyone isn't bother by all the issues listed so far and want to use them.
Reverend Revenant 13 Nov, 2014 @ 3:43pm
@ Syhkane They
@ English Ender They're loading fine, it's just they're extremely strange to look at. Very hypnotic.
Syhkane 13 Nov, 2014 @ 12:33pm
(S)He is saying that the textures themselves are an eyesore.
MonkeyCMonkyDo  [author] 13 Nov, 2014 @ 5:02am
Thanks Yutani, I totally missed the spelling error, changed it now! Which textures are appearing wonky for you?
Reverend Revenant 13 Nov, 2014 @ 12:49am
But those textures are wonky!
Reverend Revenant 13 Nov, 2014 @ 12:49am
Upvote because hardwork and hilarious and sensible description. Although I'll be quick to point out you said "conduction" instead of "conducting"
MonkeyCMonkyDo  [author] 11 Nov, 2014 @ 12:54pm
Ah, yes the 'Rising Sun' textures as you describe them are an intentional texture effect. They are actually just areas made to show a darker version of the colour you assign to the object. I can see what you are saying on that front, I was trying to make things look a bit more interesting than the standard flat textures but understand it isn't to some peoples liking. Thanks for the feedback on that, I will bear it in mind during future projects. (Using darker colours is the only subscriber workaround for now, mainly black lol)

It does matter to me, and I am grateful that you have taken the time to express your feelings rather than just leaving a downvote so thankyou for that :)
Leetgrain 11 Nov, 2014 @ 12:21pm
It's more the "Rising sun" design (The triangles/lines expanding from a point, google it as I can't really explain it.) in the texturework that adds depth to the wrong places, making it look like there's been a bit of an error in the model (which there isn't). It's probably just me and what I'm seeing in the screenshots, but I honestly think it would look better looking a bit more 'traditional' to the Space Engineers texture set and if it looked a lot cleaner.

Either way, it doesn't really matter, I can't speak for everyone, and my problem is minor.
MonkeyCMonkyDo  [author] 11 Nov, 2014 @ 10:54am
@romeno-k I agree that there is no air in space, but would small spacecraft not look to land on planets which would have atmospheres? I've always seen that a lot throughout Sci-fi and even with NASA's shuttles.

Regarding the length, that would depend on many factors including the mass of the ship itself, I had planned to do larger versions for bigger ships originally. It is a lot of work making mods like this and the large number of downvotes left me with little desire to expand this particular pack.

@Ze Leetgrain If you could give me some specifics that would be great, unfortunately I can't find these polygon issues you are referring to. Either some references to specific points on specific pictures or ideally screenshots you take ingame though I understand you don't want to install it anyway.
Leetgrain 11 Nov, 2014 @ 6:15am
I haven't installed it currently, but I've got some issues with the screenshots, the texturing on some of the parts looks almost like there's polygon issues, I think it'd benefit from a more clean look, honestly.
romeno.k 11 Nov, 2014 @ 1:45am
@English Ender 1.they are too short 2. there is no air in space. thats why its pynols not wings, but iam like, does not matter how it is called. and sorry for bad english))))
MonkeyCMonkyDo  [author] 10 Nov, 2014 @ 5:40pm
I am working on something at the moment, things are a bit slower for me as I make mods as I am new to all of this so slowly learning new elements on each project. Hoping to have the next mod out by the end of the week though it could possibly take longer :)
Helratz 10 Nov, 2014 @ 4:07pm
You're welcome! Any more mods in the works?
MonkeyCMonkyDo  [author] 10 Nov, 2014 @ 10:43am
Thanks so much Helratz and pysgod :)

@romeno-k Why do you say it is not a wing?
Helratz 10 Nov, 2014 @ 9:08am
Well done! Hard work deserves a thumbs up and you got one from me.
pysgod1978 10 Nov, 2014 @ 7:30am
Nice!
romeno.k 10 Nov, 2014 @ 12:31am
this is not a wing, this is probably structural pylons.
MonkeyCMonkyDo  [author] 7 Nov, 2014 @ 11:35am
They are fairly durable, the components have been altered to give them varying amount of steel plates and construction components dependent on their size. They should stand up to a decent amount of fire and also benefit from collision meshes which mean some bullets will pass through the gaps in the wings.

Conveyor functionality will cease when all but the last set of steel plates have been 'destroyed.'

I am happy to consider altering the components used to find the best balance with feedback. There is a tradeoff between adding more durability and adding more mass which is obviously an important factor in small ship design too.

Let me know how you all get on in terms of durability, though I suspect if anything requests my be along the lines of reducing mass :)
Learza 7 Nov, 2014 @ 7:09am
how durable are these? does the durability depends on each one's size?
