@Tyron Larson I agree that the new moodle backgrounds in 42 are a bit harsh.

@Turles No AI used whatsoever, yes this was all by hand. Thank you very much and I'm glad you like it. I did my best to stay true to the original sprites: I'm a huge fan of making textures look as similar as possible to their original counterparts (hence using circles in place of certain square pixels). It really helps with readability when they're scaled down! For the brand new moodles, I made my own sprites in the classic style and then drew "HD" versions of them for the mod.

i like this mod but the colors of the background is hard to tell apart , the b41 had the 4th stage dark red instead of violent red

@Lord Eastwood I used Photoshop with freehand brushes, selection tools, and a little bit of the pen curvature tool too. :) Hopefully one of these days people'll learn that not everything they see now is AI generated, so thank you. I take pride in my work-- it's something fun I do as a hobby and out of my passion for Zomboid.

@LegoMaster80 It's the new concentrating moodle! Not sure if it's even implemented yet since I haven't really played B42 for long.

@Jaxx - pshoooo @the Deciomator I'm not sure if images can be dynamically toggled on/off in-game, for now I can only suggest manually deleting the moodle images you don't want to use inside of your game's workshop folder. (Should be located somewhere like this, your directories may vary: "workshop/content/108600/3387102991/mods/moodlesreanimated/42/media/ui/Moodles")

@shmurda Nope! I think the B42 moodles are actually fine as they are and the artist did a good job with them. There's really nothing wrong with them. This mod is moreso meant for people who subjectively prefer B41's moodles but want something that looks similar to the HD B42 moodles. Downscaled, legible emotes are difficult to create and it makes me disappointed to see so many people diss the new artist's work. I'm sure they tried their best.

@muhrakk would you be open to the possibility of re-enabling the new B42 version of the overencumbered moodle? i feel like the old one has way less visible legibility comparatively, and the new one is a lot easier to see at a glance what it represents

I see, that's good to know. My only criticism is that the lineart on these looks a bit wobbly, but you can barely tell in-game because of their size. Barring that, they do look pretty nice, so nice job!

@spoono I have over a decade's worth of experience with Photoshop, so yes I'm certain. I primarily used the brush and selection tools, barring the odd few I used the pen tool for to get cleaner lines.
