kampfpanzer 5 Jul @ 8:03am
build 44 pls!
Zephyr 2 Jul @ 4:57pm
Please make a mod to where disinfecting the bandages takes less water, I got very tired very fast of having to use half a damn liter of water for every bandage, requiring me to jump around my house to the faucet and the stove.
Comrade Crab 28 Jun @ 5:12pm
Does it work for b45?
Kurapika 10 Jun @ 8:35am
It works with build 44 as well
Ryan 3 Jun @ 7:26pm
congrats on first build 43 mod. Please lend me the time machine sometimes.
Cyrisa 27 May @ 5:10am
I was goin to report the mod ID is broken when the mod is enabled. But it seem the mod is effectively dead anyway.
Deimos 21 May @ 4:57pm

When b42 dropped it didn't have this recipe, but it seems like they added it back.

On newer versions is makes the recipe be duplicated, requiring two 0.5L of water and two rags/bandages, so you shouldn't use this mod anymore.

Since someone might still be playing the initial b42 version this mod should remain in workshop for those very few people.

It would be best to change the description to reflect that.

Retired? :(
robertovega1034 11 Feb @ 7:54pm
dosent work how i do it to work
StinkyCheese  [author] 6 Feb @ 3:04pm
I believe that B43 will still need this mod, so I don't want to make any changes to it.

更新后好像已经失效了:steamsad:

can you modify the mod to be able to clean the rags without removing the pot from the fire and allowing to clean all?, as vanilla updated it doing it 1 by 1 is annoying as hell.

F for the mod.

Mod not needed anymore as of update 42.1.0
- Re-enabled Disinfect Bandage using hot water, added tooltip to inform it needs to be very hot.
StinkyCheese  [author] 10 Jan @ 3:24pm
I don't know, but I think this is probably a bug.
GS-Dolan 9 Jan @ 12:51pm
The character is removing the pot from the fire, sterilizing one rag and putting the pot back in. This is causing the rags not be sterilized when heated by campfires and such. Is this supposed to happen or did i mess something up?
StinkyCheese  [author] 2 Jan @ 11:01am
This mod is currently only compatible with B42
BlankFX 2 Jan @ 9:18am
Dedicated Server giving me this error:
ZomboidFileSystem.loadModAndRequired> required mod "Sterilize with hot water" not found

The folder "Sterilize with hot water" was placed by steamcmd just fine within in the mods-folder.
erub1n 31 Dec, 2024 @ 10:52am
oh okay thank you, itll take forever then
Kidney Airline 31 Dec, 2024 @ 6:38am
Erubin, use a cooking pot and not a plastic container lol, that probably is the issue, cause the bucket would melt
Frilled For Your Pleasure*** 29 Dec, 2024 @ 4:50pm
Works in normal stoves for me, but not old stoves, what used to be called antique ovens.
StinkyCheese  [author] 26 Dec, 2024 @ 2:01pm
According to that person's test results, that's how it is.
erub1n 26 Dec, 2024 @ 8:42am
so boiling tainted water in the oven works but its just a very slow process ? :steamsad:
StinkyCheese  [author] 24 Dec, 2024 @ 10:32pm
@erub1n Someone actually tested that boiling water progresses 1 milliliter at a time, and speeding up the game doesn't increase the boiling speed. Interesting bug haha
erub1n 24 Dec, 2024 @ 12:17pm
good mod but out of context, i cant boil the tainted water to get normal water. i put the water with the bucket in the oven, am i doing smth wrong,??
StinkyCheese  [author] 22 Dec, 2024 @ 9:15pm
@我最喜欢的诺格冰 Of course.
Usada Pekora 22 Dec, 2024 @ 5:08pm
Will it work with existing save?
Totally Not An Illuminate Spy 22 Dec, 2024 @ 3:38pm
Pro tip: Move this mod to the BOTTOM of the load order if you have an issue. That extends to, well, any mod in any game that sequentially loads mods.
Harkness 21 Dec, 2024 @ 11:48am
Good mod. I think they removed this function to push the use of foraging seeing as how wild garlic is a disinfectant cataplasm.
EpicMoonShine 21 Dec, 2024 @ 9:33am
gotta have it hope no bug
StinkyCheese  [author] 21 Dec, 2024 @ 8:54am
Hmm... I tested it, and it works.
Perhaps the file name conflicts with another mod. I will try renaming it.
TiraboTurbos 21 Dec, 2024 @ 4:47am
They might not have deliberately disable this, but just saw it as a low priority to port over to the new crafting system.
rhinoturtle 21 Dec, 2024 @ 1:10am
mod apears to not be working for me. i thought it might be an incosistency with leslies cooking mod to allow more cookware to be cookable with but that was not the case. im not overly worried but i would like to see this working soon as i typically rely on sterilizing my bandages this way to preserve alcohol for mollys
007jordan 20 Dec, 2024 @ 9:43am
idk if this mod is broken tried it with a pot of water and rags on a stove gave me the option but it just gave me rags back not sterilized
[MLT]뉴비 까마귀 20 Dec, 2024 @ 8:12am
Oh, somehow it doesn't turn red. I get it.
StinkyCheese  [author] 20 Dec, 2024 @ 8:04am
@[MLT]뉴비 까마귀 The saucepan cannot be heated, so it cannot reach the required temperature for sterilization. This is a bug.
[MLT]뉴비 까마귀 20 Dec, 2024 @ 7:53am
Can this also be applied to saucepan?
It has been confirmed that only the pot is applicable.
StinkyCheese  [author] 20 Dec, 2024 @ 7:34am
@Gimbo Yes, the developers set this recipe to be inactive.
StinkyCheese  [author] 20 Dec, 2024 @ 7:31am
@Comrade Khleb It’s done. Please update the mod directly.
Gimbo 20 Dec, 2024 @ 7:18am
it' wasn't removed it's bug
StinkyCheese  [author] 20 Dec, 2024 @ 7:02am
@Siberia fox 我不曉得 或許這就是BUG所在?
Comrade Khleb 20 Dec, 2024 @ 6:52am
Can you make a mod for cleaning rags like in b41 ? I can't seems to clean dirty rags using sinks and water source
