-Playing a campaign with Archaon
it was a fun campaign regardless, getting valkia was a blast, used a cult summoning ritual from a challenge reward to get into naggarond and booked it north before malekith could ice her.
@Hemaka: Still working on that update for Taurox, my Lua is getting less rusty, but it will need a bunch of testing before it's ready. Will make adding new factions to the list much easier at least. Expecting to wrap up within the next 2-3 weeks.
Basically if he's confederated by AI Valkia first (she's closest to him), Beastmen player can't confederate him any more. He just doesn't show up in the roster. Similar thing if using Recruit Defeated LLs mod - dillema doesn't show up. Broken. Especially that it can't be turned off in MCM.
If it was crashing for you on 3/26 with the release of 6.1, then yes, it should be resolved. Any mod with capital letters in the table names was crashing, and I updated the mod later that day to resolve the issue.
I thought 'Mortals of XXX' were the aligned Norsca faction(s). So, Valbrand, Hakka and Egil are Khorne aligned, Volrik is Tzeentch, Sargath is Slaanesh etc. the current vassal system makes sense, though.

The Chaos Dwarfs could confederate any Chaos faction except their own unless you change it in MCT.
Thanks for clearing it up. I'll give it a go in my next playthrough.
1) Norsca currently isn't in the confederation list. If you'd like to dig through the lore and suggest factions, I'm open to it (or at least telling you how to build it), but I see them more as vassals of Chaos, especially as they don't have much roster overlap aside from Marauders.
2) Chaos Dwarf confederation is disabled by default. Check the MCT settings if you're not sure.
3) Archaon retains all territories, and they are converted into Dark Fortresses or Outposts, depending on the location. That's part of the vanilla confederation logic.
- It would be great to see a roster that shows which Norsca factions are aligned to which chaos god i.e. Hakka Aesling considered Khorne or Undivided for the purpose of this mod.
- Is there a way to completely disable Chaos Dwarf from the confederation tree? In the lore, Chaos Dwarfs enslave and dominate other races and align with Hashut.
- When Archeon confederates, does he retain only the dark fortresses or does he retain all the territory?

Likely in your Valkia playthrough he had an additional army somewhere that kept the faction alive.
Chaos Dwarfs were added before I started maintaining it. Skaven worship the Horned Rat, and Chaos Dwarfs worship Hashut, so neither of those really fit in my view. Loreful or not, the main concern there is fun, and I don't personally like to have lords that don't have any overlap with their faction. This mod doesn't change the lords, so adding Ikit or Drazhoath to Archaon leaves them unable to boost any units, and it makes them feel out of place. For that reason, Taurox makes sense in Khorne/Valkia, as he shares minotaurs and khornegors, but not in Archaon, and Morghur feels out of place with all of them. I can show you how to add them if desired.
I am SUPER interested in this, just trying to understand how it works. I'm currently at war with 2 separate Chaos Dwarf factions, so if I add this in, it will come into play quick.
Also, are Skaven not part of this? Is there a reason it affects Chaos Dwarfs but not Skaven?
