@mykaister In version B42, if you hold a generator and try to sit in a seat, you will drop it. This is not caused by a mod.
To place the generator in a seat, first make sure the generator is in your inventory.
Then, near the vehicle, press the V key to bring up the vehicle menu and select Open Door.
After that, drag the generator from your inventory into the seat.

i just found out you can change each generators weight in the mod files, now i can have the blue generator at 10 weight and play nomad, i think you should let people know that since there are no mods available for that currently in B42

@StepMurp you can put them on any seat. Stand with the generator next to the car, open the vehicle menu (standrt V ), open door, put the generator on the now available seat , close the door. Done.

This mod simply adds a model, it doesn't do anything to game code. Also you are not supposed to be able to jump through the window with a generator. Do you have any mods that let you carry carried items through windows?

I was able to duplicate a generator by jumping through a window that had roofing on the other side. It left one on the other side of the window while i still had the one i was carrying in my hands. I'm not sure if it was because of this mod or a game bug.

I think that requires custom LUA code, this only allows to modify the item script without custom coding.

I will look into the mod not to drop bags to see if it can be adjusted.

Are you able to carry a generator through a window? I think I did once in b42, as I have one on a roof now, but since then, I've tried 2 different models of generators and ALWAYS drop them before hopping through. Even tried a mod for not dropping bags, still drop the generator before jumping through. Didn't have this problem in b41.

That could be done as a separate mod, and I would suggest to consider all furniture, not just generators.

Indeed, this is a simple fix by making a 3d model. If they wanted to be consistent and show this, they would need to make models for each furniture piece. So while it would be great to have it in vanilla, if EVERYTHING was in vanilla, then 1) we wouldn't be at B42 unstable release, 2) there would be no point in modding QOL things.

@Jimi They are not a AAA studio and they built a the engine for the game themselves. In this update they revamped/added new locations, combat, skills, professions, stealth, loot spawn, animals, fishing, hunting, butchering, farming, blacksmithing and I can go on. Do you think this is a small patch...?

Modders like this guy here really put the devs to shame! like they took forever to release build 42 yet for some reason they still couldn't include this as a vanilla feature! The amount of content that they put out surely can't justify the eternity it took them!

When collecting animals, it feels like a power plant – nothing is held in hand, but you can see them in the inventory. But as you said, it might be added during the beta process of version 42.

If you mean "show animals that you carry", then it's not in the scope in this mod, but could be an interesting idea. I should see what it looks like in game, I haven't got any animals yet.

I just really love sandbox complex games.

One of patterns I have, I hope you don't. It's ability to pull all nighters and make complex base setups/reach random goals instead of sleeping.

That's how I learnt how to use Blender3d in one day and made these models, because I simply wanted them in the game. It's not very healthy at my age.

With Brutal Handwork, once it's updated to B42, the character should visibly use both hands and not move the left hand. I am waiting for Dhert to release it.
