Iconoclawst is a fan game project, but the 3D models were created to provide a very different gameplay experience than PA.

I've heard of that anime series, but the design itself is largely inspired by the recent popular 3D anime. Most CG anime will be inspired by the wild CD games of the past. Examples include The Quivering or Spud!

Did Nightmare City (which BTW, the maker of that two-part gem, Miyasuke, uploaded a banger 20th anniversary video on YouTube, SERIOUSLY< GO CHECK IT OUT!!) had anything to do with the overall designs of the characters?
