the zombies will always detect you when they are close always, in settings set it to 1 tile away instead of 2, this mod isnt to fully hide you guys

Anyone know if this mod is still functional? Thanks!

I get the moodle to show it works but, still trying to figure out how bad using Conspicuous effects this version of the mod because as i level up my sneaking skill (also have the improved stealth mod) at least one zombie always figures out i am in the car

doesnt seem to work sadly. hope to see it fixed.

Does 4) Only apply when im outside the car? So if the zombie randomly strolls by the car and the hidden moodle is up, then im safe, right?

doesn't seem to work anymore

I always thought that with vehicles that have large windowless (or covered) spaces in the back, if you weren't stinky, you could probably be able to sleep in the back there safely, as long as no zombies saw/heard you while you were getting in there.

@Eric That sounds cool. I love the mod either way. I use a stealth overhaul mod called Yes' Improved Stealth v2. I wonder if it would be easier to integrate it with that? B42 seems to be steering the game into a direction that you should pick your battles wisely due to muscle fatigue, and what-not. Stealth focused characters are looking super appealing.

@Kyrox - The logic for zombie detection relative to their distance from the vehicle are part of overdose's original code for the mod. I cannot use or alter overdose's code for this mod in good conscience without his or her permission to do so.

With that being said, I can look into creating a new mod from scratch based on overdose's ideas that separates the detection logic from zombie distance while inside of a vehicle. Given the issues that other players have been experiencing with the mod and B42's new zombie logic/stealth mechanics, this is an idea that I've been tossing around anyway.

Is ir possible to disable the, "4) Zombie is sufficient distance from the vehicle"? I use wandering zombies and want to be able to hide from zombies that wander by my vehicle when I'm inside and everything is turned off and windows are in good shape.

Dependency for the mod is a set to a mod that is marked for build 41

@RedSystem - sorry about the wait, I'm testing now. If you could describe what issues you're seeing and paste any errors you're seeing here or in the 'bugs/issues' discussion area. E.g. is the moodle no longer appearing? Zombies seem to still see you, but the 'hidden' moodle is showing? Thanks!

@eric I'm waiting brother. Thank you

@RedSystem - I'll look into it this weekend and see about pushing out a fix
RedSystem 23 Jan @ 5:27am
@eric Hi friend, the mod is not working after the latest update, can you check it?
Kafir from Catharsis 21 Jan @ 4:47pm
its showing the icon for being hidden but the zombies still see me

ok thank you!
eric  [author] 4 Jan @ 6:31pm
@Rocky Jet - Just this one - the original won't populate in your mod list on B42

Do i have to be subbed to both or just this one? thank you
Zexxy 3 Jan @ 2:28pm
Could just be one of my mods then. All I know is the zombies kept walking directly to my car without aggro on me. Could also just be bad rng with their ai

@Zexxy - The mod is working on my end. The mod retains all of the original mod's requirements to successfully hide in a vehicle:

1) Engine must be off
2) Doors and windows closed and not broken (by default, at least 15% durability)
3) Zombie is not chasing you
4) Zombie is at a sufficient distance from the car - by default this distance is set to 2, but I recommend reducing to 1 in sandbox options. (It sounds like they may be breaching this radius for you, at which point they'll aggro)

Also note that traits factor into how successful you are in hiding, e.g. if you have the 'Conspicuous' trait it will be more difficult to hide in a vehicle.

@Raffael - Which moodles mod are you using? I just tested with Devcatt's and could not reproduce your issue.
Zexxy 3 Jan @ 12:27pm
Mod does not seem to work. Zombies still walk straight up to my car even though the moodle is up saying i'm hidden.
Raffael 3 Jan @ 11:29am
Hello, I found a bug where the vehicle panel does not appear when I use your mod with others that change the moodles
