Update: I have changed my personal preference when it comes to Half-Life 2, i'll be using Raising The Bar: Redux instead: https://www.moddb.com/mods/half-life-2-raising-the-bar-redux basically, it's a Half-Life 2 remake with the Black Mesa treatment, so it can be called Black Mesa 2

@Black Mesa Security officer not yet, no offense but I think you didn't add installation to the description, because I was confused when I subscribed to your mod and tried to play on HL2 "Anticitizen One" chapter that the metrocops starts T-posing when they use other weapons. Is it obvious to put the mod on custom folder in HL2?

It would be great to have a randomizer that combines models of the metrocop and the elite metrocop, it would combine perfectly with this mod

Yes, the author did put a lot of effort into Cinematic Mod. It took a lot of work to make it run. And they did try to make it Cinematic. However... that's what it is... Cinematic. Not Realistic. I've played Cinematic mod alone for over 400 hours easily, and I could tell you where any prop is placed. Now why do Source 2 ports of assets look odd in Source 1? Well, it's an older engine which doesn't have all the fancy rendering techniques & software that of a modern engine. Same as if you tried to port mods from Source to Goldsrc, it wouldn't look that great.

Personally, from Source 2, I only like HL:A, cuz it looks good. And Source 2 is yet to have a more gritty looking game. Source 1 may have realistic lighting and such, but saying that it looks more realistic than Source 2 is a bit ignorant. Just analysing the material base shows how much better Source 2 is at simulating realism. Not to mention the fluid system in the engine, the animation quality, sound and texture work.

Cinematic mod is actually terrible for many reasons. The main being that it stole assets from games like Metro, Stalker, Fallout and Battlefield, then tried to combine those with poor upscales and hl2 base assets. It also discarded much of the nice-looking vanilla effects and skyboxes, making the canals, coast and prison chapters of the game look boring as hell. And certain parts of EP1 were unplayable. It now looks outdated anyways.

What bothers me is all the pointless clutter, strange graffiti and pointlessly placed foliage for the sake of just decorating the maps. All of which contributed to mediocre performance at best, while not really improving the game graphically. :bms_crowbar::bms_headcrab:

About the screenshots. Imo, I'm not a fan of the Source 2 visuals because I feel like they look more like a cartoon. I prefer Source 1's visuals because they look more realistic, and I prefer the Cinematic Mod over Half-Life Alyx's Visuals

I like this. it make this feel like the rebels combine use all the different weapons like Gordon dose.
