I think it would be cool if zeds took location damage to their hands, each time they punch a hard wall their hands take damage, eventually their hands break and they cant thump no more. But this mod is a better, cleaner solution :D

If you're "pretty bad at Lua," you could try asking AI Chat. Just learn all the basics of Lua. If you run into errors codes, give the info to AI Chat and it will give you helpful tips and reasons for the error.

Thank you kindly for this mod! I'm not entirely sure if the recent patch "Added isThumpable = false to several buildMenu entities that shouldn't have collision" has covered all of the items in this mod, but I appreciate your efforts!

Do you believe you'll make a stand alone that makes Log Walls impervious / indestructible? Its one of the few simple mods from b41 I've hoped to enjoy in b42. Cuz let's be honest, rotting human hands are not going to smash down tree-trunk walls. >.>

Can confirm it only with 2nd level wooden doorframe. This mod doesn't change that frame. This bug is in the game itself. I'll try to make a patch.

Technically speaking, your buildings don't attract zombies. Zombies will path around houses and fences that exist at game start, but if one of *your* buildings blocks their path, they will attack it because they know it is a sinful abomination built after 9am on July 9th, 1993.

Other zombies will be attracted to the thumping after that, but if your wall isn't in the way, they won't attack it just because they saw it.

Yes, it does, but this mod was originally intended to be a very modest patch until the developers themselves implement this functionality. I can't and don't plan to do it myself yet. If you or anyone wants to participate in the development of the mod, you are welcome.

Yes. that's exactly how it works. Your buildings itself attract zombies.
The easiest way to do this is to simply edit \Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid\media\scripts\entities\walls\entity_wood_doubledoor.txt
Add "isThumpable = false," after "breakSound = BreakDoor," line. Will work with the new gates.

Oh yea that’s wat I meant by the doors windows and all that. As in there’s still a way for them to get in for the “game balance” people.

As for the planks. We probably couldn’t break them but that’s because we instinctively limit ourselves in case of injury. Not saying we could if we didn’t do so instinctively either but a zamb has no worries about selfharm. They could beat their brains in on a door or thin wood wall, heck even a badly made 1 layer brick wall, and get thru after a while. Specially if there is a second or more zamb.

I mean honestly it’s not like there isn’t a way for them to get in. Doors by design or weak points. If we want to be completely safe all we have to do is go up a level or 2 anyway so I don’t see the point in making walls, at least above wooden plank level, so easy to knock down
