Please open game options and navigate to mod options tab, then scroll down to Background Framework and you will found background selection drop down, press accept or apply to take effects of change.

I've enabled this mod, but the wallpaper doesn't change. I've tried turning the game off and on again several times, but it hasn't changed.

AFAIK, You can either pick specific backgrounds or make it random via native mod options in B42.
The BFW is give ability to add multiple background presets already, no need to divide each mods for each backgrounds.

Does the background change everytime? Or you have to pick either 1 out of 4?
