I am playing on Rep+.
its not super powerful by itself, its only through combination with other things that it gets great
if you didn't have good trinkets or on-damage effects or pickup granting items it's like "did i really just spend 33 cents to spawn 1 pill and poop a few times? I could've just bought an item"
(also vanilla stuff has strong combos, it's kinda how the game works, combos are fun)
even if you do have piggy bank or tons of money you can't use him infinitely to get everything you want since every time you use him he has a 5% chance to leave and unless you set the chance to spawn higher you probably won't see him again in that run, plus if you're that wealthy that you can use him as much as you want you're probably already 'breaking the game' in other ways anyway
also its a mod, no ones forcing anyone to use it
the redesign is nice but it's not something you can just download and drop into your files they're a different format, it'd take a decent amount of work to get the beggar looking exactly the same as the redesign in game, especially with the custom animations, its also missing sprites for when the beggar is paid
that said I have created a copy of the original spritesheet and modified it to look like tired guys design, it won't look exactly the same and the animations won't match up, but it should work fine, you can swap to it by opening the mods files, going to resources\gfx\items\slots, deleting the regular spritesheet and renaming the alt one to remove the ' - alt' from its name
Would appreciate a mod config changable setting which removes a specific beggar type for this one or limits which beggars to replace.
For example I can never think of a time when I would use a rotten beggar, so replacing him with this one would make my runs a tad bit better
10/10 mod would recommend to everyone
lmao!! this made my day
