Especially since the golden super earth symbols are too small to be detailed so leaving them as white/grey won't make a difference

Perhaps an idea is make the grey/white symbols greyscale so their colors don't change, i remember in game when i added/found a pawn with a green super earth citizen outfit and it looked pretty nice

I did try that originally, but the colour of the item seems determined by the materials its made with, so using something like steel for the armour, or devilstrand for the clothing would make the textures look really strange. I'm fairly new to modding so if there's a workaround I haven't really found one.

Are you considering these being able to take different materials for crafting?

I'm working on a simple Illuminate alien race and faction mod, there won't be any fancy new mechanics but they'll have custom armor, weapons, etc.
