Checking that this still works in 1.6, will drop an update soon if it doess
WJSabey 6 Jul @ 3:21pm
I dunno about that, the complex vehicles research is half-as-much again as the Otto Cycle research, and you'd have to research both of these to build a T2 vehicle. So even if the heavier T1 vehicles need medium engines, it's still 800 research vs 2,000 research to build a Mule vs. a Roadrunner.
Vanthe Bat  [author] 5 Jul @ 4:27pm
@WJSabey I definitely had that thought too, but I figured it'd be best to go for the light engines as to keep from locking them behind too much research, since by the time you can make those medium engines you might as well make a T2 vehicle anyway. Description for the light engine also mentions it can be used in tandem for medium vehicles, so I feel it fits.
WJSabey 5 Jul @ 1:27am
I would suggest that tier one vehicles that would otherwise take two light engines like the mule should probably use a medium engine instead.

@Krahe
VVE T3 is already patched, but yeah I can have a look at Titan vehicles
Krahe 7 Jun @ 4:07pm
Good stuff. Can you also make patches for Vanilla Vehicles Expanded - Tier 3 and Titan Vehicles Continued?
Vanthe Bat  [author] 6 Jun @ 7:18pm
@lego116
You should be able to make them in the VVE garage bench w/ this patch
lego116 6 Jun @ 4:39pm
how 2 make road wheels?
FleetOfWarships 17 May @ 3:56am
Unfortunate, thankfully I've got a fair few wrecks scattered around my colony to fix up, so I should be able to use these wheels and engines quickly.
Vanthe Bat  [author] 16 May @ 9:49pm
Ahh, yeah probably best to disable the mod temporarily in that case, I don't think there's any way to have the recipes be able to use both interchangeably.
FleetOfWarships 16 May @ 12:20pm
I'm aware, I just happen to have a lot of VVE engines and wheels stored that I'd like to use up before I start producing EI stuff, otherwise it's going to be taking up storage space forever. Maybe I'll just disable the mod temporarily and have my pawns prioritize installing those parts and then once they're all used up I'll turn this mod back on.
Vanthe Bat  [author] 15 May @ 10:45pm
@FleetOfWarships
This mod is set up to have things use both VVE and EI parts; it only replaces the requirements for VVE engines and wheels with the EI equivalents
So something made with VVE engines, wheels, transmission, battery etc, will then require EI engine & wheels, and still need VVE transmission, battery etc.
FleetOfWarships 15 May @ 12:20pm
Is it possible for this mod to require either set of parts or is it only one or the other? Because as it stands I have a mix of VVE parts and EI parts, and I'd like to be able to use all of my VVE parts at least.
zyzyhasl 10 May @ 10:55pm
Can you add a patch for "assembly gantry" of "RimThunder - Core"?
I think it is a great thing,if we can using "assembly gantry" to assemble tanks.
Mono the Monitor 6 May @ 8:53am
That was quicker than expected! Thanks so much for the update ^^
Vanthe Bat  [author] 4 May @ 9:41pm
Update is live!
Support added for Vehicle Interior Framework (Movable RV w/ Interior) and the XCOM Skyranger
Also added an option (off by default) to re-enable original EI recipe locations, such as tyres in the biofuel refinery.
Mono the Monitor 24 Apr @ 9:53pm
Awesome! Thanks for the consideration :3
Vanthe Bat  [author] 24 Apr @ 5:26pm
Sure, I'll put that on my little list that I'm going to put right in this message as a reminder to myself

To do next patch:
Movable RV w/ Interior
XCOM Skyranger
Toggle to allow original EI recipe locations
Mono the Monitor 24 Apr @ 9:24am
I was looking for a mod just like this! Kudos to you ^^
But if you don't mind, can I request a compatibility patch for the XCOM Skyranger mod?
I always found it funny that a VTOL dropship just used car parts for construction, here's the link:

(Ohyeah if you didn't notice, that update mentioned in my last comment is indeed up already, and has been for a while uwu)
Vanthe Bat  [author] 13 Feb @ 3:22am
Update coming soon!
Will be adding support for the cyberpunk vehicle mods (Nomads' Workshop & Turbo-R V-Tech), along with the Snow crawler- which I have realised I do need to patch the wheels for.
Will also be using Ferny's replacelib to add an optional patch to broadly replace any VVE engine or wheels with Engine Industries ones, so that should add some degree of compatibility to any mods I haven't manually patched yet!
BigGovernment 28 Jan @ 1:53pm
No worries! I appreciate the response
Vanthe Bat  [author] 27 Jan @ 3:59pm
@BigGovernment Probablyy not from me for now unless I come across a whole lot of free time that I want to use up for that. Mostly made this for myself and adding support for a few other mods is easy enough, VVE parts for the mods using EI would be a whole nother beast lol
BigGovernment 27 Jan @ 3:06pm
Any way to get a reverse patch? Using VVE parts for Engine Industries?
Vanthe Bat  [author] 27 Jan @ 2:22pm
Updated to include support for GTek's vehicles!
Vanthe Bat  [author] 25 Jan @ 2:57pm
@Archilyte Sure thing, I'll check if the rest of their mods need the same treatment while I'm at it too
Archilyte 25 Jan @ 1:10pm
hey could you look into patching this recent mod ? apparently it uses vve parts if loaded with vve, so you could probably make it use EI parts instead there
trswygg 24 Jan @ 6:34am
Excellent mod, this is exactly what I've been wanting!
Vanthe Bat  [author] 20 Jan @ 3:35am
Update should be live!
Compatibility with VVE - Deconstructable Vehicles Junk added

EI parts added to VVE_CarParts thing category

And the patch is now set to load after VVE T3 & Upgrades, avoiding any issues that loading before may bring
Archilyte 19 Jan @ 5:40am
yeah im pretty sure aoba intentionally made it like that
Vanthe Bat  [author] 19 Jan @ 5:18am
Yeah I had a look at it and I think it should, both made by the same guy too lol
Archilyte 19 Jan @ 4:56am
wait, i think rim-thunder should work with this mod out of the box because both that and EI uses the same item ids
Vanthe Bat  [author] 19 Jan @ 2:22am
Aah thanks, glad you like it!!
RutraNickers 19 Jan @ 2:08am
I was thinking of doing this myself. I'm glad someone else did it since you did a way better job than I would do. Thanks a lot, mate!
Vanthe Bat  [author] 19 Jan @ 2:00am
Looks like the Snow Crawler already has an EI patch build into it?
Vanthe Bat  [author] 19 Jan @ 12:57am
oop just realised it wasn't set to automatically load after VVE T3 or Upgrades, so might not work on those if it's loaded before, make sure it's loaded after those and it'll be all good
Will include a fix for that in the next update lol
Vanthe Bat  [author] 19 Jan @ 12:52am
Haven't really used rimthunder before but I'll look into if I need to do anything regarding it soonish

Working on an update for Deconstructable Vehicles Junk support currently, will likely post it along with a couple other fixes/changes/additions in the next couple days
Voidling Cee 18 Jan @ 7:01pm
how bout the one of the mods that can grant vehicle component salvage from ruined vehichles, since we get a lot more wrecks with VVE?
Cardoon 18 Jan @ 2:29pm
rimthunder can be used instead of engine industries for mods that require EI, so maybe it'll work the same way?? gonna try it
Archilyte 18 Jan @ 1:21pm
can you make one for rim-thunder too? or does this also work with rim-thunder as well?
Comrade Butter 18 Jan @ 6:28am
this was needed for a while, thank you!!
OB一串字母小姐 18 Jan @ 3:20am
