Is it a known bug that confederating Sarth/Changeling doesnt give them access to prepared spells? It seems unique to LL as confederation of either has regular Lords having access to this mods features. Other than that issue this mod is a blast.

After defeating some lizard man, learning the lore of light the menu compleltely breaks and u are unable to close it again. IT was fun until then but its not working

Figured id report this, if you confederate Kairos as the changeling this mod just completely breaks. The moment you defeat someone with Kairos the entire spell menu goes haywire and you can't close it

thank you for making this so well. it was incredibly easy to edit so that it works for miao ying instead, which is more than i can say for a lot of mods lol. excited to see what else you make, or if this is all, thanks so much for such a great mod series!!!

And when this problem happens, the Cataclysm spell slot also disappears despite having skill points invested in it, but respec and reinvesting skill points will re-enable the Cataclysm spell slot.

I'm just describing the problem I'm having, and I think it may be a crash caused by the fact that I'm using a lot of modes.

First of all, I'm not good at English, so if you don't understand a sentence, please tell me.

The problem seems to have occurred when I quit the game and then loaded a save (this is not definitive). After the problem occurred, I loaded a save from about 5 turns ago that was apparently fine when i was playing, but that save also had the problem.

However, when I loaded a save from about 15-20 turns ago, that save did not have the problem.

A common symptom of the problem is that it displays a 'SCRIPT ERROR' in the top left corner, followed by a '...' message and a button that looks like a trash can.

- Loading a save with both CORE and KAIROS modes on will result in the “SCRIPT ERROR” error.

- Loading a save with CORE mode on and KAIROS mode off will output a “SCRIPT ERROR” error.

- Loading a save with both CORE and KAIROS modes turned off did not output the 'SCRIPT ERROR' error.

Made a small update that increases how often the mod saves but this should not matter.

Did you notice this after you fought a battle, loaded a save, ended the turn, started the turn etc

I am having the same problem as below. After 30-40 turns, I lose all the lores I have learned, and even loading a save before I lost them doesn't restore them.

After 30 or 40 turns I lose all the knowledge I have learned, when I leave the game and enter again.
Too bad, this mod is a marvel.

Single player, I am playing Kairos. Disable the high elf submod, this issue is gone.

Yes you can.

The random spell thing sounds like the AI spell selection process is being applied. This should not happen for player the function.

Are you playing singleplayer or multiplayer?

Hey bro, could I use all ur Prepared Spells mods at same time?
when I use Kairos defeat a fire lore high elf caster, my death lore is missing, is it normal? I enabled all ur spell mods at the same time.
And there is another issue, when I start a war against high elf, my first and second spell in the slots changed to some unknown lore, and the following slots are empty, this happens every turn.

I understand wanting to have this system for every character, since it feels so good, but I would advise against giving it to any but the most powerful of mages, because I give it to everyone, you end up where you started, with characters like Kairos, Teclis and Mazdamundi not really being much better mages the non-name mage generals.

this is a masterpiece, I hope you can expand its functionality to more factions, to Gelt, Morathi (especially her having access to death, dark, shadow, slaneesh seem very thematic),
Gelt being able to learn any lore in his fancy college, seem like a perfect institution to further its uses.

Belakor should totally get dark, shadow and death, probably have access to monogods too, Archaon, Nagash from LoN maybe.

Sorcerors under Kairos seem to be able to learn any lore despite being dedicated to one, like say death, can learn Big Waagh if you fought orcs and select that, but lose access to death

I wonder if CA will give similar treatment to other master wizard characters, Teclis feels a lot better with prepared spells.

There is still space for this mod, the CA version is more balanced / conservative.

For now I've stopped development until they release the patch.

Drazoath was not associated with a lore in script so you couldn't learn the lore of Hashut.
I've fixed this and a dozen other lords/heroes in the core mod. The full list is in the changelog.

Some may still be missing FYI this auto generated (there are 301 lord/hero types defined at the moment) before this change there were 288.

No, Kairos needs to win a battle as attacker or defender.

Currently when you the see the battle screen (get attacked or attack yourself) the script checks the enemy forces and collects the unique lores of magic that is learnable based on the enemy army.

Garrisons are weird, I think the issue here is that they don't have a general/lord internally so the whole army just gets skipped during lore collection.

You should make a version that makes this tabletop-accurate (i.e. Kairos knows the Lore of Tzeentch and can learn 8 other vanilla Lores of Magic (Life/Metal/Light/Heavens/Death/Beasts/Shadow/Fire).

@Fen'Harel He can indeed unlock cataclysm spells. Thunder hasn't mentioned it in the mod description but after you've gathered a number of lores Karios gets a slot for the Cataclysm lore as well. Unsure about the number but it seems to be about ten lores are required, which seems fair. Remember to take out the ocean encounters early, since the Vampire Coast generals all count as spellcasters.

Is he able to unlock cataclysm spells? (Those like stoping time for 45 sec etc. that only Gelt has)
If not, could you add them permamently to his spellbook as well? Maybe with some price like it would use two slots or just as casual spell. After all he is THE magic wielder and also for casual campaings vs AI you don't need "balance" and you can focus on fun.

Can't thank you enough for sharing this mod with the community. Tzeentch has been my favorite faction in WH3, but Kairos campain can so often devolve into a slow grind against overwhelming numbers. This mod is everything his campaign needed, and fits so well that I now can't imagine playing without it.

It hits the theme of the faction so damn well. Now you actively look for suitable mages far and wide for Kairos to pounce on, and send out your cultists to open portals to that part of the map when the time is right. :steamhappy:
