recipe needs more salt. How to make Extra Crispy?
1.You can now use Pancake Mix as a binder instead of flour.
2.Added Tortilla Chips as well as an ingredient option in the breadcrumbs recipe.
3.A Bowl is now required to make breading mix.
One voice, one hope, one real decision
Give me one light, yeah
Give me one hope, hey
Just give me, ah
One man, one man
One bar, one night
One day, hey, hey
Just gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme fried chicken!
@Dr.Thrax I temporarily removed cooking oil from the recipe due to some errors :(
@Blkbeard I love that concept! I’ll definitely add the Baked Chicken in next update.
@Totally Not An Illuminate Spy Just updated the entire ingredients. I’m pretty sure you’ll like it now!
Sorry for the weird ingredients I used. I should've done some research before making this mod.
I studied up on breading mix and have updated the ingredients. It should be more realistic now.
Here’s a couple of changes:
1. Changed the name of "Coating Mix" to "Breading Mix."
2. Updated the Breading Mix recipe. Now it requires milk, eggs, breadcrumbs, flour, and seasonings. You can make breadcrumbs using chips, crackers, or bread.
3. A frying pan is now required to prepare Fried Chicken. (I temporarily removed oil from the recipe due to some errors.)
4. You can't eat uncooked Fried Chicken anymore. I mean, you can if you wish, but it might hurt you.
As for that recipe, I've never, ever seen vinegar and baking soda used in batter. Hell, used in this combination they're a cleaning agent! You also wouldn't make batter out of hashbrown potatoes, that's how you get, well, hashbrowns. They'd also fry in the oil by themselves and wouldn't stick to the chicken due to a lack of binding agent.
In reality, you'd use some combination of cornmeal, flour eggs and milk (I say some combo because everyone has their own way of doing things). The egg and milk act as a binder to keeps everything together as it all cooks in the oil.
All this is my 2 cents of course, you do you.
