Hey. anyone here knows what does "FarZ" and "NearZ" does, I tried tweaking it and forgot the default values for it, I don't see any difference it makes so does this affect anything at all?

is it possible to make arc9 weapons compatible? flashlights dont go away after picking up dropped arc9 weapons, and they seem to just float infront of the npc's pelvis

It's not because of the mods. I just tried on a fresh install. I don't know what causes it. That said, it would be cool if this mod and the buddies mod worked together more reliably.

It might be conflicting with other mods. I have a "combat buddies" mod that spawns followers, and they spawn at the beginning of every map, and they, along with normal npcs don't always have working flashlights.

@Jiyū to anzen Well dang. Thanks for the info though. Taught me something new today. I wish I could give your addon multiple likes instead of just one.

Also, sometimes the flashlights don't work, especially when spawning into a new map, requiring me to use the admin "clean up" utility multiple times until the flashlights eventually work.

Is there any way to....perhaps increase the reliability of this addon? The combine flashlights addon turns on without fail. I don't know if the difference between your codes is significant , but perhaps it's worth checking out?

@Guyguyga The source engine won’t allow 180 and anything above that, same for anything 0 or under- it can’t be fixed.

possible to add a console command regarding a npc itself instead of a weapon?
I have some VJ base snpcs where the weapon itself isn't usable so i can't find it entity name
and i want them to have a flashlight....

This is honestly a great addon.
If you want a lighter weight, closer to source engine combine flashlight then go with this. It's very good for what it aims to do

If you want a more "cinematic" flashlight go with Zelektra's combine flashlight mod.

Or be like me, get both and toggle between them whenever you feel like it.

I recommend 5 as the default value. The value is actually divided by 1000 in code so it would be 0.005 light level, so the minimum would be 0.001. I'd say a value of 6 is where its too high.
