I'll have to dig deeper, but thats a good start!

I am unaware of any other mod that also MCOs UISoldierBondListItem. Are you sure this mod is enabled? You can check typing the console command AddRelationshipPair. If the console auto-fills it, it's enabled, if it doesn't then the mod was deactivated.

I, for one, welcome our turn-based tactical dating sim overlords.
Wrath 1 Jun @ 11:35am
Very excited by your project! Keep up the good work man

Now all we need is for somebody to revive the unit breeding-I mean children mod.
Gguy 14 May @ 12:20pm
Your mods are really astonishing in terms of adding life to our little rebellion. Keep up the good work!
AgRipnus  [author] 13 May @ 4:11am
As soon as I can I'll make it, it's not being left like that.
Ghost 12 May @ 5:14pm
Any chance to fix the bondmates issue instead of using the console?
AgRipnus  [author] 10 May @ 7:28am
I assume you wanted to post this in the medals mod, I'll fix it today.
EtriusSierra 10 May @ 6:35am
Greetings. While streaming today, I came across a bug that may have resulted in my game crashing twice, after I completed a mission and attempted to load back aboard the Avenger.

With no actual delete medal button, I tried to see what would happen if I removed the title and description of a given medal. It resulted in other medals after the one I messed with getting shuffled around.

I suspect this may have caused stuff to go out of bounds, beyond what I can only imagine was some kind of array the medals were being stored in. Only after I turned off this mod, did I manage to return to the Avenger.

So... my game just decided to bond Mox(!) with the prettiest girl on my boat, and now they're on level 2 and I see them together everywhere whenever I fishtank-browse my Avenger. I mean, he is voiced by Lt Worf after all, so I'm not shocked.

But since it was after the fact, I couldn't use this mod to categorize their relationship. But now with the Console Command update I can! Thank you AgRipnus! Worf deserves happiness too! Though XCOM is a risky place to look for it...

Best Mod

Great mod. But ever since I have subbed to this mod, my promotion screens have gotten larger and more zoomed in...I am using Community Promotion Screen mod ... not sure what's up with these two mods. Let me know if these shouldn't be conflicting
Skiy1k 24 Apr @ 5:11pm
OH THANK GOD I THOUGHT I WAS INSANE TY SO MUCH LOL
AgRipnus  [author] 24 Apr @ 11:15am
Bro, this was a serious bug, how did it go unreported for so many months. It should be fixed with the latest update. If the fix causes more bugs I'm here to fix them.
Skiy1k 23 Apr @ 7:44pm
For some reason, After putting my friendship options the game resets them whenever I load my save or restart the game. Is there any mod that could be causing this or is it normal?
Soul 21 Apr @ 9:16am
"DLC mod" hmmmmmmmmm
Hyped as hell for real, keep the good work bro!
Fatal 18 Apr @ 4:48pm
Oh this makes me incredibly excited.
The doulaliyi 18 Apr @ 9:22am
To be honest, I just downloaded the mod because it sounds funny when my ranger gets pissed at his teammate for eating the last cupcake in the fridge and is now going mental on a muton, the chosen assassin, and a sectopod all in one mission... Don't mess with a man's cupcake
clw6 10 Apr @ 7:00am
Interesting to see how this develops. I already find it pretty useful to tag those soldier and squad bonding preferences. You can so easily lose track of those bonding preferences from one mission to the next.
ikarusbr 9 Apr @ 2:14pm
Sir, I applaud your work, this is a concept that definitely will be used if the next XCOM is ever released. Because close doors we always ahve that few soldiers that remain alive since the beggining of the campain and have their own stories written is something the vanilla lacks. Brava.
shodanpc 9 Apr @ 7:09am
Can't wait!
Jesse Fleet 17 Mar @ 4:47pm
@Copy it sounds like he's laying the groundwork for extended soldier relationships and bonds. Currently only two can be paired at a time, but future mods may allow you to have squad relationships etc, which would have more pros from squad cohesion and more cons if they lose a member. It's just giving the game more depth and the troops more humanity.
Copy 15 Mar @ 3:44am
Not Gonna I still not Understand How it work sorry Can I anyone Explain pls i bit Idiot :/
mrNice 7 Mar @ 7:20pm
This is the idea ive always wanted in the game amazing!, do you have any idea when new mods will be released that expand on it :)?
RedHood 5 Mar @ 1:57am
Is it working on long war campagne ? (Ps: tanks for your job bro)
Lagman 4 Mar @ 12:13pm
@Rover, I agree man. Imagine fighting an alien race fully committed to taking over Earth and it's inhabitants. Might as well get some companionship before you go out for battle.
Rover 1 Mar @ 4:43am
XCOM should have a dating sim variant. LOL. Keep at it, mate!
Jamba Juice Jimmy 28 Feb @ 10:50am
love your work, keep it up
AgRipnus  [author] 28 Feb @ 10:28am
I've looked into it and I don't think I can fix this at this point. The bondmate is excluded from the list in a different class than UISoldierBondListItem so to fix it I'd have to override UISoldierBondScreen as well, which I don't want to do. I haven't thought of a workaround yet.
nix 28 Feb @ 4:59am
i can't set one of this mod's bonds from a already bonded soldier's menu to their bonded teammate, like, i see they are bonded they aren't on the list to add romatic/family/rival or close friend. This is a really good mod idea tho, i like it.
AgRipnus  [author] 26 Feb @ 10:35pm
I'll fix that when I see what you mean.
... 26 Feb @ 2:45pm
It doesn't seem possible to set a tone for already bonded soldiers - I didn't remember to set their relationship to each other before allowing them to form the base game tactical bond, and now their bondmade is separate from the list of possible soldiers to set a tone with, and there are no buttons in that category. I guess it doesn't do anything yet either way since this is just a framework, but some kind of edit or workaround would be helpful.
[DG] Z Type Knight 25 Feb @ 9:12pm
Absolutely. Wonderful. Roleplayers like us certainly appreciate this. Although, I imagine that Ironman is dead. Most now reload if anyone bites it, just like Fire Emblem.
AgRipnus  [author] 25 Feb @ 1:19pm
I'd love to see another modder build on this. I only have so much time to script new stuff.
Betty The Great Magician 25 Feb @ 12:37pm
xcom is slowly becoming a western fire-emblem and I'm here for it
EightHeadedSerpent 25 Feb @ 9:30am
This comments section is onto something big. If the pieces can be put together, whether by AgRipnus or the community as a collective, an amazing mod could be made.
Ghost 24 Feb @ 5:21pm
Personally, I think it adds more character to the game, keep it up :D
EM7HydraFox 24 Feb @ 8:03am
If you're really planning to turn XCOM into a dating sim then I'd suggest adding a abstract, wild, nonsensical, diabolical, absurd feature that allow You The Commander to form bonds (date) with your soldiers. Either make it utterly useless visual pleaser or a feature creeped thing. It's only natural with how many Interesting soldier customization mods there are, with this feature I'm certain your mod will reach 100k subs and maybe even necro alot of old XCOM players.
DoubleDown11 22 Feb @ 1:05am
Dating sim... There are so many sexy soldier skin mods but this is where people draw the line?

Don't listen to the haters. Keep up the good work!
AgRipnus  [author] 21 Feb @ 5:43am
You might want to check if you have another mod that also has UISoldierBondListItem in its configs.
Leo.Brunix 21 Feb @ 12:33am
I installed and started a new campaign and its not working. Reinstalled and everything, I cant wrap my head around it. Sorry for the small bits of info
clw6 20 Feb @ 8:48pm
This is a great idea. We already HATE losing our carefully crafted soldiers lol so utilising neglected mechanics to make us hate it even more can only be a winner. Honestly, was there ever a game where save scumming was so strong as XCOM2 lol?
xtxownage 20 Feb @ 5:32am
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? Is that someone trying to create content for niche/mostly ignored game mechanics?!?! On XCOM 2!!!!!!!!??? How profound!! Quite baffling indeed.
Endzeit 19 Feb @ 11:03pm
I support you so much!
It's a very good concept to deepen the relationship, since the game is full of character creation!
The Unslain Dragon 19 Feb @ 9:44am
I will absolutely embrace an XCOM 2 dating sim.
Gguy 19 Feb @ 3:48am
I love this, honestly. Why wouldn't you want to add depth to character relations?
