@Nepenthe On further testing, it appears to work just fine!

@Wrath of the North I've not tested that, there's just the earlier comments about how it might work... give it a go and post results.

@Nepenthe I recall at one point that this wasn't compatible with TV/Radio Reinvented - is that still the case?

I could've sworn it was disclaimed in the description; obviously, I'm not seeing it.

B42 only. For anyone still on B41 you can try to backport this yourself, or just wait until B42 reaches a state you're willing to switch too.

b41?

Thanks, that may be the extra bit if info I need to replicate this; in the meantime keep a better in your radio even when plugged in.

I think I figured it out, it persists if I pick it up and place it again, it also happens with antoher radio as well, but only if I removed the battery if i keep the battery inside it works, thats probably why the pre installed ones where working I never picked them up to remove the battery.
Nepenthe  [author] 27 Feb @ 7:46am
@ileb I had that happen once then couldn't reproduce it. Do you have the same issue if you place another radio, and does the issue persists if you pick up the radio/place it back down?

Seems to freeze the ui for radios placed by hand. I can't change volume or tune into another frequency on radios placed by myself, for radios that are preplaced by the game the ui works as expected.

They add a boombox and a vinyl player that would be fitting.
Nepenthe  [author] 25 Feb @ 11:48pm
@flamewing what does True Music add that would be modified? It also depends a lot how they coded things; if they aren't using the same radioData object for their devices there might not be an easy way to swap while the vanilla radio UI is already set up for both plugs and batteries because it handles cars radios and televisions.

Love this mod. Out of curiosity, would you be willing to add compatibility with the items from True Music mod?
Nepenthe  [author] 24 Feb @ 2:17pm
@lordoflines I think you meant to post that on anothers mod's comment page.

Hey, @Ac3!

Are there any advantages of this mod over Nepenthe's new mod that does virtually the same but is compatible with TV&Radio Reinvented?

Nepenthe  [author] 24 Feb @ 11:45am
@dasfer it might, but it depends how that mod handles the a radio with radio data set to not use batteries as well as how much of the initial radio UI setup code that mod replaces.

Only way to know how they will work together is try it out.

this wont work with tv and radio reinvented, right?
bheo 23 Feb @ 10:01am
nice mod, came in clutch now that i use true music and have radios on all the time. missed it in my mod list a few times from the odd id name though.
Nepenthe  [author] 22 Feb @ 2:07pm
@lubuta should work, though obviously untested due to lack of B42 multiplayer.
Labuta 22 Feb @ 1:55pm
Multiplayer too?

It's so odd that for a game that tries to do things for the sake of "realism" even HAM radios run on batteries per default.

Power goes out anyway, why bother...

if anything, wiring in batteries should be a recipe for HAM radios

The portable stereo I had a teenager took six C cells - plugging it is was 1) easy and 2) the only way I could afford to use the radio. These days we're spoiled by rechargeable batteries and more efficient electronics, but the 1900s were a different time.
Blkbeard 21 Feb @ 5:21am
I like this mod's approach to this matter much better then the other 2 I've found, as I don't think you need to "learn" how to plug in a radio since it was very common in the 90's to have the option of plugging in your radio as well as using batteries.

Another banger mod, Thank you Nepenthe!

Because the previous owner used the power cable to tie their generator manual to their sledgehammer before throwing them in the river.
