I like what you've done with it. It actually feels like you're hand firing a giant machine gun instead of feeling like a modified AK-47. I think 200 rounds in reserve is perfectly fine too. If you combine that with the 100 rounds loaded it gives you double the ammo of the vanilla version. More than plenty for such a powerful weapon especially since you increased its damage by quite a bit as well.

do you have the required grenade launcher & m60 fix servermod? it won't generate a config file without it

do you think you could increase the rounds and reverse ammo like reverse ammo to 1000 or 2000 ammo and the round to 150 instead of 100, since its a big gun i thought it could have alot of reverse ammo i just wanted to suggest that.

@ærk bit op for 100mag weapon with that reload speed. can we have ems file that we can change the value like the reload speed? that would be awesome.

do you mean fully including the mod into your own mod? because mine doesn't incorporate it, only use its ems files, if you're trying to fully incorporating it i recommend checking yoru's balance & other essentials mod, as it adds the gl & m60 fix mod to it https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3347156832

Hello, I've been working on this "Close-To-Realistic Guns Rebalance" of mine with the help of Kyle H. McCloud for a couple of weeks now, and I'm trying to incorporate the M60&GL reloadable-replenishable mod by Devlos, but I don't know how (this is my first ever modding experience). I dragged its 'cfg' to the 'My Edit' folder and changed it to 'My Edit.vpk,' which I then dragged and dropped into left4dead2>addons. I thought it would work; it didn't. Do I need some sort of special tools?

nono, it's supposed to come with 100 + 200 when you pick it up, do you have the Grenade Launcher & M60 Fix mod? without it you only have 100 rounds because that mod is what makes reserve ammo work on the M60 to begin with

So whenever I find the MMG it only 100 rounds in it, am I supposed to hold on to it until I find ammo or is it not working properly?

no worries, what makes m60 be refillable is the Grenade Launcher & M60 Fix [Server Mod] mod, my mod only changes the stats script and a file used by that mod to give it spare ammo, if you use my mod without that mod the m60 will have 100 bullets with no spare ammo and can't be refilled, if it doesn't play well with a depletable ammo pile mod then it's on the other mod, not mine

Hmm, maybe I misinformed sorry. Btw with the refill ammo is more balanced. First I thougth it should have minumum 80-90 damage. soo yeah, this is good.
One question, how do you made this weapon refillable?
Bc I used a mod where the ammo pilies are depletable, but this mod not deplet it.

yeah i kinda like raising the recoil to the point where it incentivizes you to crouch, i feel like recoil is suuuper underrated as a stat when it comes to rebalances and L4D gameplay in general
where did you see that the m60 had 80 round box mags btw? i can't find that anywhere, from my knowledge box magazines/pouches for machine guns tend to have ammo divisible by 50, like the MG42 having 50 rounds box magazines, the Ksp 58 having 100 round pouches, the M249 having 200 round pouches, and so on...

I love this mod. Maybe the ammo refill a little much, but I like it. Maybe the recoil a little too much. By the way, if you interested, the original m60 ammo capacity was 80 bullet, maybe. It would be interesting to try balacing with that
