This mod works great with that mod that decreases your max health by 10 for every time you go down, regardless if you use a medkit or not. Med kit's can't and shouldn't fix everything.

mate i have no idea what compelled you to go this extra with a mod, but i would like to thank you very very much for doing so. reading the code on this feels like i can actually follow along your thought process as well as gain a better understanding of vscript other than just slogging through the VDC for manuals that give me more questions than answers. seriously, you are probably my favorite modder for this alone. thank you

might not use this due to a lot of reworks need a long-term learning, especially when you haven't considered the Idle Revive exploit (which when idle, reviving a teammate don't reset even how much CI hits)

Sorry to disappoint but I'm afraid it’s just a closing goof , nothing more. Though you should know there is a Taking Explosion Damage from boomer addon already on the workshop, in case you weren't already aware.

A heads up, you might want to add to either the description or the relocated description discussion that Windows 11 Notepad fucks up with ems files due to a NUL symbol at the end and instead tries to read and save it all as untranslatable chinese which does not work. Some people are unaware of this and may ask why it's in chinese.

Of course! Simply disable the 'enable_chat_notifications' setting in the mod's config.txt file. If you’re unsure, refer to the 'How do I enable/disable these features?' section in the above text description. the reason why a "grabbing the hand" isn´t posible is due to the position of the downed survivor and the helping survivor, imagine you reviving a survivor if you are on the head side, and since it can cause models clipping (more specifically the hands) and the mayority of l4d players mod to dead the game, it can also cause inacurate reviving animations, thats why valve chose the retail animations rather that the grabing the hand animations
it would be cool to make a mod where the revive time is significantly reduced as you're being revived with a brand new revive animation on the helper simply grabbing the downed teammates hand and then pulling them back up. Not sure why this hasn't been made yet but it should be a thing FOR REAL!

Oh my, that would've been a really good idea! To have the mod read from a customizable text file, rather than hard coding them in like I did. Ahh, that was foolish of me... I'd have to rewrite that entire section of code from scratch again to facilitate such a feature too.

I can't promise when or if such an update will come to pass, but I absolutely agree with your suggestion; I only wish I thought of it myself sooner thank you!

An INSANE amount of effort was clearly made here, unfortunately I believe that the vast majority of the casual audience will not bother installing this since most people don't like to install "nerf a mechanic" addons.

Maybe it would appeal more if the maximum threshold was 60 health or more? :mindnight_thinking:

the effort on the video showcase is beyond absurd, that must've taken weeks just on editing alone lol

as for the mod, i dig it, i think revived health depending on the remaining bleedout timer is cool, alongside the nice flavor text, i'm not a fan of getting staggered while reviving though, imo getting pummeled and losing health is punishment enough (i'd even go as far and saying that revivals should be never cancelable from just damage, like when a common hits a downed player), but the stagger is customizable anyway so it's all good! really nice work all around

IMHO, this mechanics possibly make game unplayable. But I have an idea: script which allows to revive incapped teammates to those survivors only, who's carrying adrenaline (tribute to tomaz), or if incapped survivor himself has adrenaline in his inventory (then autorevive acts - tribute to Geebanger0). And reviving acts immediately (short revive duration). What do you think?
